What are thoughts on Gafford?
* Provides rebounding and additional shot blocking
* High motor roll man, athletic, ok screener
The deal he’s on is ok, would put us over the tax next season.
Pick is there to refine the deal. Adding Roddy allows us to clear our project logjam and give Vince a roster spot.

I would kill for Gafford on this team. Love his theoretical fit next to JJJ and is a former Razorback.
Grizzlies are already over the tax next season – they cannot add money on top of that. This would put them ~$27m over the tax if they accept Kennard’s option (which seems less and less likely – but cannot lose that salary slot).
I feel like the Wizards get something better for Gafford. If I’m the Wiz I would rather hold onto Gafford than trade him for this. And if I’m the Grizzlies I’m not offering more than this.
Also not really sure what makes Gafford versatile.
I’d prefer to wait for Adams to come back next year and get a wing. But if we go C id really like Gafford, and your trade isn’t bad from our standpoint. Not sure they would take the trade though
