The Raptors Are Eyeing These HUGE Trades For Pascal Siakam

After already trading OG and anobi Raptors forward Pascal sakam could be next on the trade block for team president Messiah jiri but is now the right time to trade spicy p and what can the Raptors get for him let’s get into it this is Amateur hour Sports the YouTube channel completely dedicated to

Toronto Raptors coverage in videos just like this as well as live stream watch parties if you like what you see from today’s video then make sure to hit that like button really help drive us up in that YouTube algorithm and if you want to see more Raptor content just like

This make sure you’re subscribed to the channel help us on the road to 177,000 subscribers but as we get into the new year here it’s been over a week since the Raptors traded OG and anobi to the New York Knicks and acquired RJ Barrett and Emanuel quickly in the process but

Conversations are really starting to pick up about Pascal sakam being next these conversations are picking up because well it seemed though the rapit have committed themselves to a specific Direction here cakam trade could help them accomplish that goal but but also there’s been some increasing conversations going around about how

Messiah jiri has been maybe disrespecting Pascal seak and overlooking Pascal sakim and it’s as if Messiah xiri is already planning for a future without him before having even traded him because we still need to figure out if we can get a good deal for the player because we know Messi is not

Going to take a bad trade he’s going to fight for every little bit he can in this trade he seemed to have pulled off a great trade so far with OG and anobi going to the New York Knicks is he going to be able to replicate that with Pascal

Yakum we’re going to talk about the potential trade candidates and what they can give for the player but first we need to go through a little bit behind if the Raptor should even trade Pascal at this point because since the trade has happened the Raptors adding in RJ

Barrett and Manuel quickle have looked like a completely revitalized team now perhaps we’re still a little bit in the honeymoon phase but the team is just so much more pleasing to watch even though that they have they have three wins and one loss since the trade happened they’ve looked really good they’ve

Looked really exciting I’m not as concerned about the win loss necessarily it’s the fact that they’re playing great basketball for the most Parts particularly on the offensive end of the court and the spacing very much is there for players like Scotty Barnes to use up and maybe in this case scenario here

Pascal seak to use up this additional space has allowed sakin to thrive on the inside so even though he’s not getting the maximum amount of field goal attempts as perhaps he could be getting he is still putting up tons of points putting up great numbers and being a

Significant part of the Raptors and the success in this four game phase and particularly for his own statistics he’s been doing pretty well Pascal seaka has been getting some criticism this season for his play overall and yes the numbers maybe are a bit down in some circumstances but he’s still putting on

A great season here yes to points per game hovering around 22 here he’s done more than that in the past but 22 is still a great haul especially when you look at his field goal percentage like he has been dominant on Tuesday this season it’s just been the three-pointer

That hasn’t quite been there this season however that’s starting to climb back up he had that month stretch of games where like he just just could not hit a three but he seems to have figured it out he’s starting to knock down threes again I think that this three-point percentage

Which is currently under 30% is going to climb its way back up to the low 30s probably around 32% by the end of the season and we’re going to start to see the signs of improvement there and we’re start going to see perhaps the points per game still start to climb up even

More maybe even get to 23 points per game again so Pascal zakum clearly here is still a great player borderline Elite player there’s many metrics that would indicate that perhaps the Raptors had a better record he would be the one getting the All-Star nod rather than

Scotty Barnes if the Raptors were to get one as it stands I think both of them have an opportunity to do so Scotty Barnes perhaps has a better chance to do so but with the record I don’t think either them are going to be in play to

Make an All-Star team we are going to see on that but overall for Pascal siakam he’s been not as good as he has been in the past but he has still been very good and it appears as though he’s doing even better since we made this

Trade with OG and anobi so Raptors fans some of them at least out there are starting to question if even you need to trade cakman at this point because the Raptors needed spacing and they got that and the offense clearly has improved like you don’t need to do anything don’t

Need to change anything just change the players add more spacing the team is just immediately going to improve that’s kind of what we expected to see after this trade perhaps it’s looked even better than expected and now we’re seeing sakam really with that space to start to thrive so if you’re wondering

Hey the Raptors they want to be a team that wins games they want to find more success next season seaka is going to be a player that completely helps you do that and I agree if you trade seak you’re probably going to make the team worse but what you can improve upon is

The development phase of this team I don’t think we need to go in and rush things right now Emanuel quickley is 24 years old RJ Barrett’s 23 years old Scotty Barnes 23 years old like we’ve got these pieces that we want to start to build around going forward

Particularly in the manual quickly in Scotty Barnes Camp these are the guys that we want to build around and I don’t think that seaker is a bad fit next to these guys but I I don’t want to rush things here and when you consider the the impending contract situation of

Sakam I do feel as though now is still the right time to trade the player the Raptors don’t want to have to worry about the player leaving for nothing in for agency however even if there’s conversations around an extension yes you can be more flexible for a longer

Period of time and considering trading the player down the line but you still have to figure out how to navigate that contract you’re going to have to likely give him a Max contract is that contract going to be able to be easy to trade do you want to be paying a third

34-year-old Pascal sakam $4 to $45 million these are all big conversations you need to have before you go and give him this contract so for me personally right now go and find a good offer get what you can for Pascal sakir really refresh this team start to really focus

In on building around cakam manual quickly and see what you can get at this trade and take this team into a new era here just refresh here I think that right now a trade that you’d get would likely be better what you get in a year’s time when people see that

Contract and and maybe have some hesitancy towards committing to it also not to mention baii in his press conference once the season finished talking about selfish play we thought maybe it was directed at Nick nurse Fred Van vet but it turned out in media day heading into this season he was pretty

Much directly referencing Pascal sakas playing selfish last season and has continued to slight him since it seems as though he’s keen on making a move for the player so I think there’s three teams who should be in the mix for Pascal cakam first of all we need to

Talk about the sacrament Kings who the Raptors most recently played and yes sham San had mentioned that the Sacramento Kings had pulled out of the deal but you never know in the NBA if team can reinsert themselves in the deal so they’re one of the three teams that

We need to discuss in this video what could the Sacramento Kings offer I think that where Sacramento may have pulled out of this deal two things in play first of all the Raptors are going to be keen on getting Keegan Murray and you watch this video I’m sure you’re keen on

Getting Keegan Murray as well I’ll tell you who’s even more keen on Keegan Murray that is the Sacramento Kings they treat him like the third star in that team he is not going to be moved in this trade like he’s just flat out not going to be moved in this trade the Raptors

Probably don’t see a ton of value getting anything from the Kings they’ll have to look at picks plus Harrison Barnes and Kevin herder to make this deal happen how much does that really change things going forward for the Raptors maybe not so much so they’re not really interested without Keegan Murray

Being in play and from the Sacramento Kings perspective they’re going to be worried about sakam leaving the team for nothing at the end of the season that’s another reason theyd pull out of the deal the second team that Raptors could seriously have some interest trading with is the golden State Warriors we

Just played the Golden State Warriors blew them out of their own building that was a pretty fun watch cakam played pretty well in that game it certainly was the RJ Barrett show but overall the Warriors they’re trying to extend this dynasty as long as they can maximize

Steph Curry’s output as much as they can and seak would really take a lot of scoring pressure off that team and would add in a little bit of dynamism to the defense that maybe lacks it right now the Warriors have had some issues dealing with Jonathan kaminga he

Publicly called out Steve Kerr through Sean Sana Steve Kerr proceeded to play him the most minutes he played all season but his role has been very much up and down he hasn’t really been given a platform to grow in Golden State this is a team that’s trying to win a

Championship build on this dynasty they don’t really have room to play younger players all these extra minutes kaminga has been really left out of proceedings that’s a player I’d really like to attack if I was the Raptors now there are reports saying the Warriors are leaving kaminga out of deals but if

They’re serious about extending this Dynasty look they’re not going to outright say they’re trying to trade him they’re going to keep that to themselves to maximize his trade value if they want to make this trade happen they’re going to have to include Jonathan kaminga likely Moses Moody and a first round

Pick the issue for the Raptors in this case scenario is that the salary filler would likely have to be Andrew Wiggins now it could be Chris Paul yes the injury doesn’t matter like they can trade him if he’s injured the Raptors want him for Sally filler here but they

Want that contract off the books the end of the season the likely player they’re going to push in this deal is Andrew Wiggins and he’s on a similar contract to RJ Barrett 27 or so million dollars a year for the next three and a half years

And we’ve seen a sharp fall off for the player in the last calendar year or so that contract scares me it scares me a lot and it scares me to the point where I’m really unsure about taking this deal I’m also not super super sold on mooding kaminga like I really like those

Prospects but where I am even more sold on a potential deal going down is with the Indiana Pacers this is my favorite trade destination for Pascal sakam if the Raptors can make this happen what the trade would look like in this case scenario would be a young player buddy

Heal for Sally filler and perhaps Obie toppen to sweeten the deal a little bit you could maybe discuss some draft compensation in play however the young player in this deal you guys might be looking at Ben Maan but for me I’m looking at jarus Walker jarus Walker is

A very intriguing power forward because he’s like a three and D power forward and that is like exactly what this team could use he’s maybe slightly under si side for the position he’s like 6′ 7 6’8 maybe you want to be like 6’9 610 in that role but he is a stretch four

Shoots the ball really well is a good Defender is going to play a specific role next to Scotty Barnes and next to Emanuel quickley that I think is really going to cater to this team and really cater to this team going forward that would be a really exciting piece to work

With going forward the Indiana Pacers all of a sudden see themselves as hey could we start to compete this season could we start to build up assets where we really want to try and win something this season that could be a conversation that comes into play for this team 100%

But still from an opposition perspective where there are going to be drawbacks to this trade is okay we know seak is a great player his numbers are starting to climb up absolutely but can we afford the risk of the player leaving for nothing in for agency cakam has made it

Clear in the past he doesn’t want to sign wherever he goes but can conversations happen to get to the point where yes seak would agree to sign with a team like the Indiana Pacers play next to Tyrese halberton that seems like a pretty good destination going forward in

Indiana right now that’s something seak could consider but if the Raptors can’t facilitate a deal like this my favorite being the Indiana Pacers then a conversation needs to be had about extending the player you gain that flexibility going forward and you absolutely eliminate the risk of losing

The player for nothing in for agency no matter what you think no matter what you say the worst outcome is losing a player of this caliber for nothing so either extend him give him the max or trade him and see what you can get if you you are

Completely against giving seak the max then you need to trade him for what you can get I think teams will be interested I think Golden State will be interested I very much think Indiana will be interested and W has said as such that the Indie Indiana Pacers are in the mix

For the player and as much I absolutely love Pascal seak and if you’ve watched this channel you’ve watched me over the years you know that now is the right time to trade him really refresh for the future see what you can build with Scotty Barnes and Emanuel quickley here

See where that can take you and Messiah yiri we saw in the open gym documentary after we acquired bar and quickley his Focus for the future is Scotty Barnes and Emanuel quickley no mention of Pascal sakam whatsoever if the Raptors are intent on not having a future with

Sakam get a trade done and see where this team can go for the rest of the season and keep on playing this exciting brand of basketball so what do you make of this Pascal sakam situation do you think the Raptors should trade him now or do you think now you’ve seen him with

Spacing they should keep him give me your answer in the comments and make sure to smash that like button while you’re down there subscribe to the channel for more Raptor content I’ll see you again next time for another Video

  1. Imo, they should keep Pascal Siakam because he has spacing around him and Scottie. Hope you’ve had a good day and I’ll see you tomorrow on stream. 😀

  2. I just know teams are probably gonna offer him an insane bag and that would suck to have to match

  3. The kings are not in any real serious discussion and need to be X out of any raptors trade talks. They simple won’t give up Murray. I said it before and I will say it again. If Pascal is moved it’s going to be to a team you’re either not hearing about, or hardly hearing about. I’m predicting a team like OKC because Pascal is an upgrade there at PF. OKC, Pacers, and the Pistons are the real teams to watch. How long have been talking to teams like the kings, Atlanta and golden state ? Obviously they’re just throwing 💩 at the wall and hoping Masai is desperate to take it. Remember who said it when pascal is either resigned or traded to a team you’re not even hearing about similar to the Lilard trade when the Bucks came out of no where when nobody was even talking about them.

  4. I guess the number one question is are we still going this 6-9 all same height plays D kinda team? if we do then Kuminga/Wiggins/Moody make the most sense, however I don't think so anymore, I think Raptor's biggest need is shooting and scoring and need a Star. Siakam's trade should be similar to the Haliburton/Sabonis type of trade, Kings got a vet, Pacers got a young star.

So far….the best fit for this kind of trade, I think it's with Miami for Tyler Herro

  5. I rather Isiah Jackson be the extra asset rather then obi toppin. He’s a great shot blocker. He’s only 22 years old. Just incase koloko doesn’t come back… or doesn’t work out. Isiah Jackson gives us another young centre on the roster. I love jarace Walker. He fits us perfect. I’ve been saying it for about 9 months now.
He’s the best young PF. Better than kaminga. Better than Jalen Johnson. Better than Keegan Murray. Does he shoot as well as Keegan, no. But overal he’s better. Jarace Walker fits PERFECTLY with IQ / Scottie / RJ and koloko

  6. The only Teams that will trade for Siakam is the Pacers, Pistons, Warriors, and Sixers. If they don't budge then No deal will come for Siakam. The things, HOW BAD they really want Pascal? simple as that.

  7. i dont think they should they should re sign him and then re evaluate him in the post season

  8. 29 and turning 30 soon. best move is to trade.. and look for young talent. good for the raptors gm in knowing the time to trade is now instead of waiting around like the warrior have.

  9. Of course not. We've be a thinking here in Brazil that in team that's winning you don't make any changes

  10. Everyday there's a trade rumour involvong Pascal. To all you you tubers and silly minded fans i have one simple question…..what are yall smoking?? SERIOUSLY. There isn't anything out there on the current trade market that would be equal for Pascal. Draft picks and players with potential is yall are looking for?? Really?? We've won 3 of the last 4 since RJ and IQ arrived and now yall wanna trade the best player on the team to anyone with a pulse for draft picks and potentially a good player?? 😂. Its the you tubers & people like Scams Sharnia (i know his real name but the man is full of it) and Michael Grange who always has it wrong. Until something actually happens everything is cap and click bait.

  11. To say they aren’t building around Barrett as well is crazy … he’s part of their core

  12. No, dont trade him instead resign him.. Its not guaranteed that a draft pick or trade players could result to what Spicy P is producing… Spicy P is a well rounded player.. he assists, rebound and scores at a high level.. 20+ points…Draft pick player would need min. of 3 yrs. to show what his potential is like Scotty Barnes.. by then its too late coz scotty B is already in his 6th yr. in the league Also, draft players has no Guarantee.. there are a lot of Lemon Draft Pick Players… Re-sign Pascal and continue hia journey as a Raptors

  13. I would love Keegan Murray but that's not likely going to happen.

I like Moody but I'm not sold on Kuminga and taking on Wiggins contract would handcuff us for the future.

I really like the Pacers deal for both teams. Siakam would fit perfectly there, we get a couple of rotation players, a good young prospect and hopefully a future pick as well. We could then flip Hield to a contender for assets or let him expire and extend GTJ.

  14. Yes, if it’s a good trade with young rotation players with upside and draft picks. Our team would be a big 3 if Scottie, IQ and RJ which I’m okay with.

An offer with Harrison Barnes as the main piece is crap. We are better off losing Pascal in free agency and getting nothing, because that offer is nothing.

  15. Pascal, Gary, and IQ should re-sign on (relatively) team friendly deals based on their current (and projected) level of performance in order to free up a bit of cap space for another solid bench player. The team could be a true contender next season as the roster continues to gel and build an identity. Not opposed to a Pascal trade either, especially if a team like the Pacers offers some serious young talent.

  16. Mathurin and Walker aren’t available in a trade with Siakam refusing to immediately sign an extension. The Pacers are much more likely to use this trade to clear out log jams at positions. Andrew Nembhard, Jalen Smith, and Buddy Hield with 2-3 seconds is probably what Indiana would offer. That clears out the wing logjam and the center logjam while sending the Raptors 2 quality young 3 and D players.

  17. I’m still not sure Pascal will end up being traded. While it makes sense from a team direction perspective, the front office has backed themselves in to a corner by allowing these players to reach this point without a contract. While Pascal has in the past indicated he loves Toronto and it seems like he’d be keen to sign here and stay long-term, the recent tension between him and Masai puts that a bit in doubt. But…Pascal has also stated that he won’t sign an extension with any team that trades for him, so any trade partner won’t give Masai value. The OG situation was different because the Knicks really wanted him and because of the relationship between his agent and their front office, they’re probably confident they can resign him with his Bird rights etc. With Pascal it’s far more tenuous – no team will give up very much for a few months of Siakam, and I doubt Masai will sell low. I still think the most likely outcome is he tests free agency and in that case the Raptors may be forced to bring him back for a max contract so they don’t lose another player for nothing. But…we’ll see…

  18. What? Masai never explicitly said it was Pascal that was playing selfishly. When did he say that? Please direct us to evidence.

  19. What about the Miami Heat? Jaime Jaquez Jr + Hero or Robinson for Pascal is something that would work. The trades with GWS/KINGS makes no sense for us.

  20. Cease trade talks with Kings with no Murray!
Either be tough with teams as Pascal is an AS and worthy of potential future talent or walk away!
Re-signing works for us too as he’s playing great with new lineup!

  21. Dude stop the jarace walker talk. Hes boardline g league. If we dont get the same kind of value as pascal, zn allstar, why trade him. Hes our best player, Just give him the extension he wants

  22. They may be better off signing an extension or signing and trading him in the off-season because they can probably get more. Plus, Pascal can get more money from Toronto. If he's traded now, the Hawks would jump because they're trying to get off Murray, who does have value, but even with his contract. Even the Pacers, who have some young pieces that are redundant. Im not sure teams would be willing to part with picks for a half season player…

  23. Mathurin seems like somebody Indiana would want to keep if they’re trading Buddy Hield. Otherwise that would be 2 guard spots they would need to fill, plus I would prefer Jarace Walker too lol

  24. I used to want to trade Pascal but with the way the Raptors are playing I want to retain him unless we want Rj to be no 2 or 3 option.

  25. I would keep and resign Pascal unless we get 1-2 good young players and a 3 point shooting role player for salary matching. No bad contracts unless they are expiring and can be bought out to make the money work. Honestly Kings have nothing of interest except Murray which they would be crazy to trade.

  26. Indy if JW and not Ben M. JW + Jalen Smith + Buddy + 2024 not pacer first and 2025 Pacers second. If you can get GTJ to sign 2 year $15 mil as his value has dropped.
I would prefer to sign PS if for 4 years $181 total and descending with age. I think he will still have 3 great years and one very good. Especially with a deeper team so less load both sides of ball. I know this is not PS max but I would agree to give him trade veto to day before 2025 draft. He says he wants to stay then this would prove it and give him some time security.
Then I move GTJ to Lakers 100% not as good as Zach L but also could resign for $15 mil a year with La if LBJ still there.
Would like Gary + Otto = Rui H + Jalen Hood-S if the lakers give Gary start and 30 mins he is a 16 ppg and high 3p shooter. They would have to see if Otto can add depth for playoff run. Raps would get a good back up Forward for depth and future PG

  27. Kind of doubt they trade him now tbh. The Nets got two vets (Dinwiddie and Finney-Smith), a FRP and 2 SRP’s for an expiring Kyrie last year, so I doubt the Raps would get much more than that for Siakam. Unless someone gets desperate and completely blows them out of the water I just don’t see it happening. IF he would even sign an extension at this point, probably better to kick that can down the road and try to move him in a year or two with more term on his contract while he’s still in his prime. Then more likely to shake some of these younger guys with upside loose. At this point I honestly wouldn’t be surprised with any outcome.
