THANK FUCK (it’s only a STRAIN* and not a full tear/rupture)

  2. neosmndrew

Looked *a lot* worse than a strain. If that’s all this is and he misses 2 weeks as a precaution I will nut twice.

Edit: Quick googling says recovery from a strain is about a month. Please take all the time you need Hali.

What a horrible thing to happen to such an amazing player prayers up

  4. ThingsAreAfoot

This is where we need the people who know things to explain what a “strain” is again, particularly to that region, and then give us a very accurate prognosis.

  5. ThiccPapaSIZZLE

Man that was a lot of drama for a hamstring strain

  6. lazzysmalls

This could be 2 weeks or 8 weeks, super unpredictable injury

  7. orphan_tears_

Damn. My favorite player to watch this year other than warriors. Hope it’s just a minor strain.

  8. MrBuckBuck

The injury season has begun, right before the All-star.

  9. growsonwalls

How long is that rehab? A month? Prayers up that the MRI doesn’t show a tear.

When he missed 2 weeks last year we went from top 6 seed to bottom lottery so quickly. I really just want to enjoy my sports teams man.

Shams flexing that All Star title, I like it

    I hope he feels better

  12. dk240996

That is good first news, hoping a quick recovery for him, the game is much better off with him playing, obviously.

A strain can be still be a tear.

Most likely going to 3-8 weeks at minimum. If it’s a tear it’s like 3 month? recovery time. I hope it’s just a very mild strain, but we’ll see.

  14. Tall_Succotash

Hopefully he can make a speedy recovery

  15. fckthisite

Fire the whole fucking crew of floor wipers

  16. ThroughTheWildNight

When I read this I thought it meant his sesson was over. Glad to see from other comments that it will most likely only be a few weeks. It looked really bad

  17. 0dias_Chrysalis

It’s actually potentially worse that they already know its a strain with very little testing. So hopefully it don’t go that far

  18. Saturday514

Hamsting injury is tricky. Had one in high school and took over a year to recover. Hopefully he will be back in a few weeks with advanced rehabs and treatments.

  19. COUPEFULLABADHOES

Thought I heard a pretty clear pop sound

  20. Platinum-Peasant22

Hey thankfully it’s a just strain and nothing season ending like a tear. It could have been worse. It was a nasty slip and hopefully he recovers quick!

  21. QuesoStain2

Hamstring injuries will not be 3 weeks, they will linger at least 6 and possibly longer…

  22. Jolyon-Chen

All the great PGs are dropping this month. Maxey and SGA on a watchlist.

  23. not-a-potato-head

Really feel for him, especially since it’s the second season in a row. Hopefully it isn’t serious and he isn’t out too long

Looking at how Indy went after his injury last season, it’s gonna be rough for them if he’s out for an extended period. Potentially takes them out of the Siakam sweepstakes too, making it harder for Toronto to get a higher price for him

  24. Its gonna be somewhere between one game and an early retirement. Just speculating.

  25. NorthStar-Wolf32

Kinda lame that he will miss out on All NBA because of this

  26. Jonjon428

Best case scenario out of a horrible situation

  27. Tough injury. I hope he recovers soon. One of my favorite young players that are non Pistons.

  28. romanlogic

All the arm chair doctors saying how long he’ll be out for and how severe it is crack me up

  29. The-Pharcyde

That blows. Hope he heals up and we see him back sooner than later.

  30. AllTheHolloway

Assuming he’s missing the All-Star game, that especially sucks when it’s Indiana’s year hosting.

  31. coachlife

So he’ll miss the All Star Game in Indy?

    : (

  32. Middle-Welder3931

It absolutely sucks being so close to the ASG in Indy. He deserves to ball out in front of his fans.

It was the second time he had slipped during the game, how hard can it be to for the floor staff to prevent slipping on the court?

  33. PonderFunk

Wait, i saw a grown man getting carried like that for a hamstring strain, he wasnt even shot or nothin?

  34. numberThirtyOne

I watched it happen live and didn’t even blink. I think I’ve been pretty much expecting this at some point. PG, Vic. It always goes this way.

  35. dating_derp

Damn I hope it’s a quick recovery. Dude was my favorite player this season.

  36. WakandaPacers
