I don’t think he wants to leave Toronto. The question is really – can we win with him, Scottie, Rj, IQ and Poeltl!? It’s a tough question for FO to answer – I don’t think it’s a hard no or a solid yes.
We’ll see in a month but I wouldn’t be sad if Pascal stayed at least another year or two. Don’t think we’ll be making it to the finals any time soon. Even if RJ, Immanuel, Scottie, and maybe even Gary took a huge leap in developing their game.
If I was Siakam at the very last year within my contract, I too would decline to commit to random teams my FO is trying to ship me off to.
Trying to trade a player in their contract year is irresponsible imo.
Can’t blame Siakam. He wants money and the ability to control his destination. It makes sense.
Full blame on the front office letting it get to this point. Hopefully there is still a good trade to be made but he should’ve been traded long ago, not in his expiring year.
Haliburton just got injured and it looks bad. If he’s out for an extended time, I imagine pacers are probably less likely to do a trade
He’s not doing anything wrong, but it’d be cool if he went along with shit though.
