Picture 1 – the foul that was reviewed where you can see contact to the head during the live replay, it’s not accurately pictured here in a single frame.
Picture 2 – a subsequent frame of that same baseline angle replay
Picture 3 – a moment in the broadcast as James Williams walks away from the replay monitor, with the same frame that is shown in picture 2, leading me to believe he saw the same angle we saw
Picture 4 – a report that James Williams told Brown he did not get hit in the head.
The 2 explanations are:
1) He did not see the head hit and was only watching for the hand on the ball, which means him telling him he didn’t get hit would be a lie since he didn’t know if he got hit and wasn’t watching for it. This makes him incompetent at his job in what was a crucial moment of the game that decided the outcome.
2) He saw the head hit and lied to Brown despite knowing this is what happened.
This was a bad call but him confidently lying to Brown about it is a pretty bad look as well

Petition to start 3 Blind Mice chant in the audience next time ts happens
Great sleuthing. At best he is incompetent, at worst he is comprimised
Don’t worry everyone the 2 minutes report will come out and say that 1 of the last 2 calls was only slightly wrong and that actually the Celtics got away with a couple fouls. So we all should go and make a big bet using our favorite betting apps to show our support!
Honestly the garden should start the next few games with “Refs you suck” chants from the tip
I’m sorry, but there is no way that he did not see the contact with the head. If he can’t see that, he has such severe vision problems that it would render him unable to be a professional referee.
Additionally, is he not on the headphones with the NBA replay center?
There is no way.
He made an inexplicable choice to alter the outcome of the game.
Missing something in live play is forgivable. Changing a correct call into an incorrect call when you have clear video evidence that the initial call was correct is inexcusable.
He went against not only the rules of the game, but also the rules for replay review, which clearly state you need clear and indisputable evidence that the contact did NOT occur. That obviously wasn’t the case.
Simply touching the ball does not negate a foul. A few games ago, I think it was Brissett or Queta blocked a shot and then on the follow through made contact with somebody’s head, and the ruling was that just because you touch the ball, what happens after can still be a foul. Like 3 or 4 games ago this happened.
Either he doesn’t know the rule, or chose to ignore multiple rules at once.
Just astounding shit.
