Small sample size, of course, but that’s nice to see.

Also worth noting this does not include turnovers: Pascal has 5 turnovers in clutch time (78.3 minutes played) this year. Last year he had 8 turnovers in 128.8 clutch minutes played. So very similar extrapolated out over the same minute total. I have no idea if that’s good or bad. Eye test tells me Pascal turns it over a fair bit in the clutch but idk lol

Idk why teams aren’t lining up for him

He could put so many teams over the edge lol

Anyways we need to give more Scottie and quickley opportunities in clutch

    This is there team

He has clearly improved his game and jumper. It’s settling in nicely and the offense and other shooting threats opening up space for him.

He’s a much better fit and set for success and efficiency in this system and roster than he ever was. So it’s funny that we are also at a point where we don’t need him to be that and he’s better suited to use the skill with a contender.

What will suck is if everything goes right….then in 2 to 3 years we will be one siakam away from a championship.

That’s what happens when you don’t have to carry the load all the time and lead the league in minutes

he also hit the last 3 of the game to bring it to 1 last night. imagine if we got at least a call or freethrow our way, that wouldve been the clutchest basket of his career in the reg. season if he made that to tie the game. would have been on highlights all over

  6. Last season was basically all Pascal isos in the clutch.

  7. Offer the man his extension and be done with this. He probably wants the full 5 years. See if you can make 4 happen and do it.

it’s almost as if players and coaches aren’t finished products. Demar had similar frustrations and now he’s known as one of the best clutch players on the Bulls

  9. SaddestHappyMeal

Pascal isos and Scottie fullcourt sprints off made baskets late 4Q have been automatic

Definitely looking a LOT more composed in crucial moments in the clutch. A lot of people bring up depth and minutes, but you gotta also give credit Barnes for taking the load of his shoulders as the pure defacto 1 option. Having another guy (possibly 3 with RJ) that consistently brings 20+ ppg is a better delegation of responsibilities for the team.

It’s almost like small samples are extremely noisy and our willingness to declare whether a player is ‘clutch’ based on less than 80 shot attempts is kind of bogus

It’s hilarious to see the number of people that think this is not just just random chance

small sample size.. i still dont think he is clutch at all, but it good he is hitting the shots recently

Define clutch. And are these stats based off of his own shot creation or does include stuff like getting the ball passed to him for an open 3? Once again context matters.
This better not be like the NBA’s definition of a double team. Siakam is absolutely not doubled like other players around the league are.
