How can you have a “be patient and allow time to grow into HC role” while also have a “LeBron doesn’t have many more years at this level of play. Lakers have a win now mindset when concerning trades” at the same time?

  2. This isn’t the Wizards, this is the Los Angeles Lakers where proven HCs are required for the job.

Makes sense. Not like the best player is 39 years old.

Nice guy great story. Just why the four year contract if Lue got so few years offered he backed out.

Bron blamed for bad pickups like he’s the GM, but based on this he can’t possibly be some sort of shadow GM.

Honestly why tf Ham have such a long leash?? Vogel took us to the chip and got no cushion…

What the fuck do they see in Ham that we don’t?

Looks like this would be bron’s final season playing for the lakers.

Best player is 19= this strategy is fine

Best player is 29= this strategy is iffy

Best player is 39= this strategy is idiotic

  9. It is truly amazing how incompetent this FO is.

  10. LeBron praised both Lue and Spo in the past week. Wonder if he ever said anything nice about Ham?

  11. Didn’t even give Vogel that luxury while trading Westbrook later as Frank was the scapegoat for FO. This tells me not to expect much before the trade deadline. Incompetence as usual. At least when Jim Buss was around we knew it was the tanking years. Very puzzling times based on incompetence.

Yeah we’re trying to contend not rebuild here

Why get Lebron if your plan was to twiddle your thumbs during his twilight years?

Have Ham coach the G League team to gain his experience and grow.

No time for this shit. Motherfucker should have never been hired. How do you hire a rookie coach with a roster stacked with vets and big time egos, in a high pressure team like the Lakers.

  15. LennoxAve

They’re not trying to fire him and eat that contract.

One of the most storied franchises being ran like a poverty franchise.

  17. hoodrichgoyle

We have the one of the worst FOs in the league

  18. NicDwolfwood

    LOL.

This is not a rebuilding team!!!

This is a team with (unrealistic or not) championship aspirations! You can’t have a coach to grow into a role if its costs you games, and games mean everything these days when it comes to not being in a play in for your playoff lives.

    The stupidity is astouding.

Translation: I’m not gonna pay Ham to sit his ass at home. We in this for better or for worse.

Dont worry guys, darvin will finally become expert at coaching when lebron is 50 yrs old

Could they at least hire him an assistant to explain basketball to him? We should petition for the Lakers to hire Cranjis McBasketball to write up the gsme plan.
