Per Woj on X/Twitter: The Grizzlies are waiving center Bismack Biyombo, sources tell ESPN. He made a good impact with franchise and could be brought back again. Memphis is expected to add another big on a newly available two-way contract.

Nuggets should absolutely sign Biyombo as a backup center if possible. Veteran minimum for his services could be helpful to the bench.

He would be very valuable replacing the minutes at backup C we had in the playoffs last year

If Malone wouldn’t play any of the other backup centers before and won’t play Jay Huff he ain’t playing Bis.

Denver runs an integrated, complex system on both ends. It takes most new players at least 6 months to get up to speed.

Signing Biyombo would be Thomas Bryant 2.0

    Sit down, Biyombo

He’s being waived for a two way contract… No thanks, Biz becomes lost on switches all the time

I’d prefer Booth trades for like 4x 2nd round picks and hit on 4 more MVP level centers ok thanks.

For real though, if he finds another Watson/Braun/Strawther quality rookie that’s big and on a cheap rookie contract that’s the move.

Edit: Bonus shout-out to Bismack for being the genesis for the best nickname ever: Baguette Biyombo.

We don’t need to trade. We need to stay healthy and secure home court advantage in the 1st and 2nd round of the playoffs. If those two things happen, good chance to repeat

Huff likely has better offense than Biz, and his defense has improved to pretty good. Until Huff gets a few consecutive minutes, other than the chaos of garbage time, we won’t know what he can do.
In a few games with Washington, he seemed better than most of what they had on the bench.
