Darko ball is finally clicking with the right players who woulda thought. I love how efficient we are now. We were always a fast break team but now our fast breaks are out of this world, honestly sometimes I will have to see the slowmo to figure out what’s going on. Everyone knows their roles. I think the only “chucker” we have now is Quickley, but he is a good shooter and he will learn.

I’ve never thought about this stat but it seems lower than I expected

Not that we aren’t more exciting, but wasn’t this team 8th in assists last year?

The team wasn’t fun at the beginning of the year either. It’s fun now because we finally got adequate guard depth

But we weren’t fun for 15 of those 20 games.

This is a pretty crazy stat being compared to GSW like this. Hopefully we can get some wins our way and sneak into the playoffs. I feel much more better about this team going into the playoffs as opposed to last years. Sadly its going to be a major uphill battle because of earlier losses.

  6. Nah lol, they’ve been putting up big assists all season, even in some REALLY ugly losses. The team has only been fun to watch since the trade. Even the best games before the trade were generally only fun to watch Scottie ball out.

  7. If there’s one thing that is a huge success about the trade, it is that this team is fun to watch again. It’s probably the most fun roster they’ve had since the defending champs year.

It’s definitely made me excited to watch games again.

I am really enjoying the increase in passing and movement. Bet on your teammates!

Yup. Darko’s offence is a joy to watch. It’s wild to me that people were shitting on it in early december when the players were finally starting to roll with it and it was clicking. Look at all those easy baskets and open looks.

I didn’t see last night’s game, only the highlight reel. And I absolutely haven’t been watching Knicks games this season or last.

But there was an inside-out passing play on the highlights where Scottie, in the paint, passed to a slashing RJ, who then scored using the lane Scottie somewhat helped create for him.

How much inside-out passing was there in the Knicks offence? I can see RJ’s efficiency looking rather better in Toronto if Darko and Scottie make this a regular part of his offensive diet.

I do t think this is why the team is more exciting. I think it’s because we have players who can actually capitalize on the passing now. We where passing a lot pre trade and the team still looked terrible

The passing last night was fantastic, especially in the 1st half. It was some of the best I’ve ever seen from the Raptors. RJ is such an underrated passer and so is Thad. It’s such a fun way to play and it’s fun to watch.

I mean were the 15 games before the OG trade when they had +25 assists fun? I think it goes deeper than the raw assist totals, though they are part of it

The bad decision makers got smaller roles/left the team which makes the offense function way smoother. Adding some quality players in RJ and Quickley has been a great bonus

Darko’s done an incredible job with the ball movement this year. Out of the 38 games played so far this season, the Raptors have only had less than 25 assists twice. That’s already more 25+ assist games than the 2022-2023 Raptors had all year (35 games).
