IQ on Julius: I’ve learned so much from him…his mindset. I’ll just watch him—how he prepares, goes about his work and his daily habits. How he goes through his workouts. When you’ve been around the best, you know what it takes in a different way, and he’s always willing to share any knowledge.

  1. This doesn’t fit a narrative. We were told by “fans” he was a terrible teammate.

Also I believe Deuce McBride said the same thing

Julius Randle has been called many things over the years by the media and fanbase, but in the basketball world it is all love for him. He’s just an all around good guy that works on himself just like anyone else. Respect.

  3. Substantial-Curve-51

Julius said the same thing in his playerstribute article about kobe. love stuff like that

Ppl told me he’s a terrible leader and locker room cancer tho…

The whole testimonial by IQ not only points to him being the outstanding young man who all know, but also to the amazing culture that has been building under this regime.

Can’t wait for the fake fans or dudes who played 6th grade ball hate on Julius whenever he has a bad game. Randle has seriously helped make us what we are right now. He ain’t perfect, but he’s given this franchise a spark that was missing for years.

  7. Aaaaaaandyy

Someone argued with me Julius wasn’t a leader because he didn’t say anything to the public or post on socials. I said he probably hit him up like an adult. Guess who was right.

  8. Turns out fans don’t know what actually goes on within the team, locker room, the team dynamics, etc.

Haters will ignore the fact that if JR was truly a bad egg, IQ could easily say it given he is no longer in that room.

That was really nice to hear. My wife was so happy to hear this. She was really worried about their relationship ever since that awkward confrontation against the Magic last year when IQ tried to stop Randle from getting a technical and Randle objected. 😳

he still frustrates the hell out of me as a player from time to time, but I changed my mind a long time ago on the narrative that he’s somehow not a great dude. too much evidence to the contrary to ignore.

I always felt that Julius was a culture-changer especially during the “We Here” year. It kind of got blown up after that awkward playoff exit. But whether fans like to hear it or not, aside from Thibs, the single force that changed our culture for the better is none other than Randle.

It was nice reading this. Validates my view on Ju.

But what does some YouTubers think?

guess he followed his playoff preparation too bc they both stunk it up everytime in the playoffs eheheh

Really appreciate this from Quick. Randle is the soul of this Knicks team and the the reason we are where are today. One of the hardest working players in the league. Even when he’s hit mental rough patches, he’s stuck accountable and worked even harder.

Randle is going to ball this post-season, the flow of this year is giving some great, late energy.
