Think Stephen A is right okay so what are you going to do you’re not going to pack it in when you’ve got Steph Curry that means you’re going to do something at the trade deadline but which way you going to go are you going to go for

Young help and try to improve yourself now and for the future as you look out for the franchise or are you going to try to find somebody to do what Andrew Wiggins used to do for you or you could think about looking at the sideline when Draymond was talking

Or trying to speak to the team no one was listening this team is not engaged it’s almost like they don’t like each other and you looking at steep body language look I mean you got one guy everybody else just kind of like lingering around but here’s the fact of

The matter we talk about Andrew Wiggins possibly you know being the piece to be moved maybe Klay Thompson but how about Mike Don Ley and Joe going to Steph Curry and say hey what you want to do what you want to do they owe it to him

And would anybody be upset if Steph Curry actually wanted out of Golden State and this is not a high Take Kobe Bryan Kobe Bryan did it publicly although did we really believe he wanted to leave yeah but but but remember he did it because the organization wasn’t

Listening to him that’s not the case I understand that but what I’m saying is no one would frown upon stephh Curry if he I don’t know wave for what you know why because but he won’t do it because he won’t do it he won’t do it he won’t

Do it but here’s the other thing real quick Joe Lake up and the organization has proven they’ll make whatever modifications what modifications are out there get what I’m saying got CH with the new with the with the new CBA the second April first April third April what April

We went all of the apron many apron he look we got to get Steph Curry rolling early well he didn’t really get rolling by 413 the struggles continue for him we’ll break down his numbers over the last eight games he came in over the last seven games shooting in the 30s

Both from the field and from the three-point line d r and Fe we say keep the Pelicans under 60 in the first half well guess what the Pelicans had scored 46 by the end of the first quarter yeah that was tough right there giving up 40 points in the first quarter and then

Andrew Wiggins we will get the two-way wigs I don’t even know if we call them two-way wigs right now because of his struggles he scored six points in the last two games he scored five tonight not sure what’s going on with andw wigers but they got to figure that out

There as he is making a lot of money he’s in the first year that four-year extension um and he’s a guy who we saw on the big stage in the NBA Finals just a couple seasons ago during that postseason run guarding John Morant guarding LCA donic guarding Jason Tatum

Guarding Jaylen Brown and right now he’s coming off the bench and he seems lost so this is a team wide issue here Warriors is giving up points they’re not executing offensively and Steph is starting to wear because he’s seeing all the long physical Defenders on the wing

Here as we and it’s it’s going to continue on this road trip yeah most definitely and uh you know when you see Steph Curry struggle like this you know you think about fatigue you think about the legs because he has to do a lot more with Draymond Green out of that lineup

Uh you know he’s handling the ball a little bit more then you want him to run off screen so looks like he’s wearing down a little bit as well so hopefully he can get those legs back under him but man just a sense of urgency I’m going

Keep going back to that I want to see that from this team Andrew Wiggins we know he has the skill set he has all the talent in the world athleticism is off the chart I want want to see him be back and be aggressive and be that two wi wig

That we seen in the NBA finals and you know guarded at a high level scored at a high level did a little bit of everything so man this team had to really find find that Groove and that swag the first 20 Seasons 20 games of this season Steph Curry was magnificent

He was doing everything on the floor offensively he was getting to the three-point line getting to his shots creating shots for teammates Now teams are are doubling him constantly because they’ve seen that the Warriors are not taking advantage of the double teams one thing that you can do when you’re in the

Warriors offense Steph gets double team he throws the ball off early a guy like Draymond has two choices one thing is he can do he can he can get the ball and dribble hand off immediately with Steph Curry creat space that he does so well

With a with a ball screen and then Steph Curry can can manage the game that way or Draymond can play four on three with the backside offense right right so far this team is not capitalizing on on that opportunity so teams will keep double teaming Steph keep making him play

They’re going at him on the defensive end as well making him tired fatigue is not something I ever associate with Steph Curry but when guys are not defending their men everyone is overh helping there’s always somebody wide open underneath the basket this Warriors team really needs to go study and make a

Decision do we do we get to stop right here or do you get to move forward and find a way to be better and fight through this wall with a Warriors are now three games under 500 at 17 and 20 and they’re 111 at home we’ll break down

Turnovers you gave up 24 points off the turnovers points in the paint felt like the Pelicans had 94 instead of 64 the fouls there you see the free throw discrepancy just an all-around bad night for the go to State Warriors let’s hear from the head coach Steve Kerr presented by

BMW just how disappointing is it to now have back-to-back games where you are hearing booze at home and maybe you felt the again that some of those boo were many of them were deserved from the effort that your team showed out there yeah we deserved it for sure um you know

Fell fell behind immediately um and uh I think I think we’re just lacking confidence right now you know it’s it’s um you uh you you just sort of um you know you you get to a stage sometimes where um you just kind of lose your uh your belief and um it happens

Um and that’s what’s happened right now with our team the last few days I think we’ve um you know we’ve just lost um the the spirit the confidence that that has to carry you you know against um talented teams night in and night out some of your roughest nights of this

Season have been kind of like blown leads um but are these two nights the LA is is this a more concerning you know thing to happen of course of course yeah we weren’t competitive these last two two games and um you know that one of the coaches um on the way down said

We’re we’re we’re the quietest team ever you know and uh I think without without Draymond and Chris it’s really exposed just um there’s there’s not much chatter defensively there’s you know we have we do have a very quiet group of guys um you know with this particular team

That’s out there now and and we probably need a a pickme up we need Draymond we need Chris we need you know we need guys who can um kind of rally the troops right now and um it’s um you know when you’re going through it like this um

There’s only one way out and that’s to fight together to compete together and somehow we got to get stops I mean you know gave up 141 points they scored it will and um you know we we have to be able to get stops to be to be

Competitive Steve I know when you guys came back from Denver on Christmas you guys kind of looked forward to this home stand as a chance to kind of come together um now it’s over what do you how do what do you make of what happened over the course of these last seven

Games yeah I mean we we obviously failed in in in our desire to to build some momentum during this stretch we lost six of eight um obviously the Denver game was was a gut punch you know that’s the one we felt like we uh we had and and uh

They they snatched it um and and I think you know that that really um you know with the injury um to Chris um it seems to have just kind of um sapped us a little bit of of confidence and direction we just seem out of sync you know at both ends right

Now uh coach in the past you’ve talked about in some of these situations and tough games uh going back and going through them watching them what can you take away from this game following Sunday and and will you go back and and watch it with the oh yeah I mean you

Know definitely going to watch it um but um you know we head to Chicago tomorrow we got a back to back so I mean this is the NBA there’s there’s not much time to uh um you know to to sort of get yourself together and and you know reconnect refocus all I mean

There’s a game instantly and so we have no choice we got to we got to get better quickly we got to get be more competitive and more connected and um you know that’s we got a big job ahead for sure um PMI has been playing well

For for rookie dropped into this uh what do you think’s happened kind of last couple of games is it just size Maybe some bigger Wings getting to him what I think was minus 31 tonight what do you see happening with him well it could be

A little bit of the rookie wall you know this is the time where um you you’ve you’ve played a lot of games and um the calendar turns and you still have 50 games left whatever it is um you know you he may be a little tired um but uh

Last couple games he hasn’t knocked down his shot which um sometimes when the shot goes um you know it it it looks worse than it is um but um I do think uh his his defense hasn’t been as good um these last couple games um could be size

Um like I said could be rookie well but um you know he’ll bounce back I believe in Brandon you mentioned you think the team has kind of in a sense lost some of its confidence which you know points to not just solely being a basketball thing do

You think you know a road trip where you guys are you know a little together more and away from some of the noise here at Chase Center do you think that can be helpful I hope so you know that’s we got our next four on the road so we got to

Get it together after the the Denver loss on this home stand Steph said we’re not losing hope right we’re not losing hope yet but where is the line between loss and confidence right now in losing hope well look we’re we’re in the middle of the Season there’s a long way to go

And so um this is all kind of part of it um when you’re uh when you’re struggling as a team in the middle of an NBA season um you can’t lose hope um so you have to you have to fight your way out of it and

That’s that’s all there is to it I mean there’s I we can talk about it in a million different ways but um you know we we just got hammered backto back games at home um we got to get better in a hurry you mentioned a little while ago

That this is why you kept the starting lineup you gave them so many chances uh from last season because who knows what happens right if you start changing obviously there were reasons to do it but do you feel that’s kind of been the thing that’s kind of shaken this team

Not you know just kind of broken down some of the things that held us te together well I mean I we we we went away from that lineup for a reason we were struggling and we weren’t um we weren’t clicking with that lineup um but the the result um has been we’re we’re

Scattered we’re all over the place with lineups um we’re you know trying to find different combinations and uh you know where as you know a lot of teams like New Orleans are really rounding into form they know exactly who they are um you know we’re we’re scattered and um so

We and that’s you know you can point to a number of reasons why none of them matter the only thing that matters is we are scattered and we’ve got to find some continuity and find some lineups and uh find some fight when you talk about uh silence on the court um without Draymond

And Chris do you look to Steph to encourage chimp to kind of pick up that role since guys look to him to always close out the games we look to Steph for everything and and it’s you know we can’t expect him to all of a sudden um

You know be a a huge voice I mean that’s just you know everybody is who they are and so he’s naturally you know a quiet person he’s incredibly competitive um but um it it doesn’t become his job Steve you mentioned the communication a couple times all right

One big takeaway way I got from Steve ker there fellas that he said he feels like his team has lost his confidence lost his Spirit lost his trust we’re 37 games in we got a long way to go you got a four game road trip going to Chicago

Milwaukee Memphis and then at Utah jazs who are playing some good basketball right now so how do they regain that confidence at the two blowout losses here at home in the home stand man go to what they know you know just moving the basketball defending at a high level

Bringing the energy controlling the things you can control as an individual and if you can bring that to the game then the team everybody buys in you know it’s contagious if you playing hard it’s contagious if a guy taking charge or diving on the floor you know what I mean

So do what you should do individually and then come together as a team I feel like you can get back on the same page that way that’s one of my favorite quotes control the controllables for the g day Warriors playing Warrior basketball doesn’t just mean coming out

There and and looking good it’s it’s sharing the ball it’s taking care of the ball it’s rebounding the basketball and running these are the things that you can’t control and then you can get the open threes because Steph Curry is coming off a ball screen and if he gets

Double team then he can kick it to guys that can now take advantage of the defense those things are not happening right now for the goldate Warriors and the New Orleans Pelicans felt it they came into the game tonight they Zen Williamson was brilliant every time he

Was in the paint he either finished or he was kicking to his teammates creating shots for it just seemed like they can get whatever they wanted because they can just go downhill and getting to the paint That’s defense that’s the Warriors really picking up and saying I’m going
