Holy shit, KAT is absolutely lapping the field right now in terms of offensive fouls.
Obviously, a decent chunk of that is him doing the hook, which is 100% an offensive foul, but it’s also mind-blowing how many more he gets than any of the other big men or frequent drivers who shove/push off all game long.

KAT and Ant are definitely having great seasons, but I hope that we see some improvement in their decision making throughout the year. Ant sometimes gets too much Mamba mentality in the 4th and tries to take on the other team’s entire defense instead of passing to his teammates. And KAT will have open 3’s that he’ll pass up in exchange for a charge.
It’s on Finch to get through to these guys before we start seeing these mistakes too often in the playoffs. Still, these guys have looked great this year, and it’s reassuring that we still have the best record in the West, despite these issues.

Crazy how much low hanging fruit there is in this offense. They could easily jump from 15-20 offensive rating to 10-15 without any personnel changes just by not being so careless.

Durant being up there is kinda surprising to me. Seems like he’s transitioned more to a “just get to your spot” type of player in recent years. 2 dribbles in shoot. Get to the mid range off ball, size up, shoot.

My main problem is after games like Wednesday trying to put the loss on the refs and not on what Finch has been trying to address for over a month with turnovers is concerning.

Look, it’s obviously something Ant needs to improve (which I have no doubt he will), but look at the other names up there, there’s some pretty big ones. People forget he’s 22 and has the 4th highest usage rate in the NBA. Unfortunately it’s just part of the growing process and as frustrating as it is sometimes, it’s just something we’re going to have to deal with for now; It’s not going to just magically improve overnight.

Yeah that sounds about right. I trust Ant to fix it though. He’s young and has shown a lot of growth through trying stuff and seeing what works and what doesn’t. KAT…will probably keep committing stupid fouls but at least he’s cut down on a lot of the other b.s. overall.

My love of KAT is in a renaissance this year, but I really wish he would lose the hook. Not even counting the fouling it causes, I think it’s more a hindrance than a help to his game.
Perhaps he tries the Tatum forearm shiver? 😂
While they do commit a lot of DUMB, TERRIBLE turnovers, I do wonder if a few a night can be attributed to the intensity on the defensive end. Not forgiving anyone here, just a thought.
