Fuck blaming Quin, he’s not perfect particularly w defensive schemes but I’m done with switching coaches. A coach needs years to establish a strong culture and system, and our entire org is clearly built around catering to players wishes which doesn’t help
I am fine with sitting Trae until the trade deadline. I want to see DJM running the offense and playing with all of our young guys. It can’t be much worse than what is being sold to the fans anyway.
Not resting Trae while we have another all-star Point Guard who’s value we need to inflate, brain dead decisions.

Using Traes shoulder as an excuse for his performance tonight is kinda odd. His decision making was a problem. He could’ve had a perfect shoulder and he still would’ve had all those turnovers in the second quarter.

Silver linings: 1000 3PMs for Trae and Bogi. Jalen is HIM. Slam dunk highlights as usual (needs more shot attempts). DeJounte is HIM, on relatively great efficiency (he needs to do this when Trae is also healthy). Bench points in garbage time. Happy Birthday, Dominique!! 🎁🥳
Criticisms: We allowed over 70 paint points for a team that usually gets around 57.
T McConnell is the best backup point guard in the league, no Hali no problem. 8 of their players scored in double figures on objectively great efficiency. We have 25 AST to their 41. We’re either not finishing or didn’t share the ball well this game. And finally we have 1 Block to their 10. Something needs to change for us on both sides of the floor.

I’m not an Atlanta fan, i mean I like the Hawks, i follow you, i’m a Denver fan, but i watch Atlanta all the time because of Trey and Bogdan.
Snyder sees that this is not going like this and he persistently plays the same stuff over and over again? Why not change something?
The starting line up is a terrible fit, the worst fit in the league. Bay and Capela have literally next to zero passing skills. There is no good flow of the ball because Trey and Murray are literally the same type of player. The starting line up doesn’t make any sense.
It’s easy to play against Atlanta when Capela and Okongwu aren’t expanding the space. This is a shooting league, while the Hawks have 2 centers who literally have no 3 pts, no midrange, not even a simple shot from close range, literally nothing?!?
Teams know this and stock up on Trey, Bogdanovic, Murray because the Hawks have virtually harmless centers. You need to find centers that can hit from the outside.
The most logical thing would be to trade Murray/Hunter or Bey for an excellent big who has shooting skills. I don’t know what the contracts are like, but if I were Atlanta’s FO, i would trade Murray/Capella/Bay/some pick for 2 good bigs – a center and a power forward. One with shooting, one with defense. Trey – Bogdanovic – Johnson – some good pf – good center.
Atlanta had one of the best outside lines with Trey Bogdanovic, Huerter, etc.
Instead of strengthening inside, to find for good bigs who hit and spread the space FO brings Murray?! Worst possible fit. Literally all that needed to be done was to trade Capela and another bench player for a good center 🙄 That before Murray’s trade. Now it is even more complicated.
