How I feel after tonight.

It is a really tough time to be a sports fan in this city…

Reddit moralists in this sub act like as if the fans stormed the court and attacked Bulls and Warriors players. What controversy?

What I’m tryna say is if we have fans brave enough to boo a dead man through his elderly wife, then where the fuck is that energy for Reinsdorf? Seriously where are the sell the team chants? You wanna boo a dead man who built a dynasty but not a billionaire who’s too cheap to create a contender?

Honestly it was pretty shitty but y’all gotta relax a bit. Krause’s old lady will be okay.

This whole thing was a PR disaster. Orchestrated by a franchise that can’t/won’t/doesn’t want to get out of its own way. What did they think was going to happen? Yes, it’s a terrible occurrence, and you feel for the widow…but let’s get real: Krause is one of the most vilified people in the history of Chicago. Not just sports…he might pass Mrs O’Leary’s cow in notoriety. Yes it was cruel, but what an entirely dumb, yet easily predictable moment.

Why honor them at all? You let a 25th anniversary pass by. Your 3 biggest stars don’t show up; 2 of whom are very publicly feuding with each other. You already have Krause and Jackson hanging in the rafters, along with the 72 banner. You already retire numbers for a reason, so a ‘ring of honor’ becomes superfluous – especially when those you’re introducing are already retired numbers…not to mention the 13 others that are enshrined watering down the honor itself. Who’s in the next class? Elton Brand for his RoY campaign?

An organization led by a family devoid of original thought. Running things as if it were a 20th century franchise. Leeching money off a legacy that’s over 25 years old. One that you inherited and didn’t independently earn. I want you to win now…stop bringing up the 90s. This was just a shameless cash grab produced with little forward-thinking. Friday night. Local broadcast. You only announce it like 6 weeks ago; and of course, they lost. On a night where they had a 13pt lead at the half. The Jordan-less Chicago Bulls in a nutshell.

Honestly, they pulled one over us all. They’re turning these teams into the ‘85 Bears and we’ll lap it up because Chicagoans are the dumbest, not the cruelest, fanbase in America. Stop with the clutched pearls and your sanctimony and realize Reinsdorf is loving this right now.

I’m more mad at the people who thought it would be a good idea to put Jerry’s face on the screen tonight. The fans were obviously morons, but who the fuck green lit this?

This hit home for me SO Hard. Every time when these teams are on National news it’s always for something BAD. The toxicity of Chicago sports is at an all time high. Tonight’s embarrassing moment, the civil war with Bears fans of Justin Fields, the HR issues with the Hawks, and White Sox are self-explanatory. When is this shit gonna stop? Can shit just work out for us one time?
