Steve Kerr blasts Bulls fans for booing Jerry Krause during Ring of Honor night

Steve Kerr didn’t hold back when talking about Chicago Bulls fans booing Jerry Krauss during the Ring of Honor night Jerry Krauss his name got booed at halftime during the ceremonies just what was your reaction I I didn’t hear it I was in the locker room but somebody just

Told me about it and it’s shameful it’s absolutely shameful um I cannot believe um I’m devastated for thma and for uh the cross family what what can we possibly be thinking um um I cannot believe um that the fans and you you have to understand

When you hear booze it’s not all of them right so the fans who boo um they know who they are and that’s um to me it’s it’s absolutely shameful and I I’m I’m devastated by that um because it’s just what what are we doing you know whether

Whether you know people liked Jerry or not whether they disagreed with the decision to you know to move on from the whatever the I mean like we’re here to celebrate um that team Jerry did an amazing job building that team um tonight was and last night was all about

The joy and the uh the love that that team shared with the city and I’m so disappointed in the fans and I want to be specific because there were lots of fans I’m sure who did not boo but those who booed um they they should be ashamed

Just what do you think of the halftime ceremony the Ring of Honor I was only out there for for the last few minutes cuz I was in um you know in the locker room with my team and and um so I just the whole couple of days um it was special to be

With the whole group uh to see everybody family members uh kids seeing kids all grown up um you know that was a long time ago but it was a really special era and I I I’m lucky to be a part of it and lucky to have played in Chicago this is

An amazing City and a great place to play and um um I’m I’m thrilled to have been honored with the group you know these last couple days

  1. When Kerr said ā€œwhat could we possibly thinkingā€ lol the crowd was thinking the dynasty could’ve went on longer but it’s my opinion I really have no stake in the game to care

  2. As someone who grew up around Chicago, watching the Bulls, I can say: There would be less championships without Jerry Krause.

  3. It shows you how a documentary which didn’t have all the facts can change young people minds what they think of him. If his wife was to pass on days after this, all the fans who boo deserve to be cursed. The look on her face was heart breaking. He wasn’t liked because he didn’t get bullied by Jordan into making decisions he felt was better. Great thing he didn’t listen to Jordan because look how MJ turnt out to be a GM/Owner.

  4. The ceremony itself seemed random, rushed and was a train wreck . Especially with Rodman, Pippen and MJ not even there. At least MJ sent a video but still something seemed incredibly off about this whole thing.

  5. Boo a 79 years old Lady because you don’t like his husband (who died 6 years ago) it’s one of the most disgusting things I’ve ever seen a fan base do.

  6. Krause was huge when it comes to the success of the 90s bulls but also understand the anger people have for him breaking up a championship team and didn’t allow them to go for a 7th ring and 4-peat..

  7. Kerr looks miserable. He's definitely unhappy in Golden State. This is the end of an era. I wouldnt be surprised to see him and Bob Myers reunited on some other team.

  8. As a bulls fan of the 90’s that was an embarrassing moment for me. I would like to apologize on behalf of the fans that booed your late husband in front of supposedly a happy moment for you and your family. I’m grateful for your late husband’s contribution of the great Chicago Bulls of the 90’s Dynasty. Thank u šŸ™šŸ½

  9. Stupid Kerr!! We as fans have the right to Booo. To feel shameful because fans boo sounds stupid! Crazy how people with millions of dollars telling people on how to act when we save up to buy a ticket. It’s part of sports!!

  10. It's almost like something changed in our society in recent years and opened the floodgates for being an asshole in public. I wonder what it was.

  11. Some of the fans at the game were classless. Jerry Krause built the roster to win those championships. As a fan born and raised in Chicago that lived through the era it was an amazing time. There was a tension that spilled over into the media in regards to the Phil and Scottie against Jerry. We all knew that Jerry wanted Phil gone and us as fans were hurt because MJ stated that he only stays if Phil stays. That crushed alot of fans. Jerry is one of the greatest GM's in NBA history and he will always be respected by "REAL" Bulls fans.

  12. I think it is awesome that the Bulls arranged it so that their very first Ring of Honor ceremony took place during halftime of a game against the Warriors so that Steve Kerr could be there. I am sure it meant a lot to him.

  13. To equate fans booing Krause to booing his widow is absurd they were not booing her they were booing the man who prematurely ended the bulls dynasty and has condemed the city to an extended period of mediocrity. thats why they booed and they were right to do so and i will die on that hill.

  14. He feuded and disrespected jordan who is our most valuable ambassador of our city. And we don’t appreciate it. When people hear Chicago around the world they think of Michael jordan

  15. Shouldn’t be booing the dudes widow, that’s dark, but Kerr would have let Draymond kick her in the head if it made Steph happy. Tired of his fraudulent moral grandstanding when he’s the biggest hypocrite in basketball

  16. It just shows us the biggest issue with society. Everyone wants to be heard, everyone wants to be edgy, and everyone wants to be famous and have attention.

  17. Those people who booed the widow of a great man being honored that brought the city 6 championships should be ashamed and remorseful of their actions. That is not the Chicago I live in

  18. As Bulls fan, I believe they weren't real Bulls Fans! Yes he wasn't a favorite (for obvious reasons), but whether you like it or not, he still did a fantastic job putting together those 6 x Championship rings. Booing someone who passed away with a widow in his place is just a low life scum move! Grow up whoever it was!

  19. They booed because krauss did everything in his power to stop chicago from getting each and every ring. The fact that they won 6 despite his saboutage is incredible, but without him they wouldve won 10. The fans know that. Thats why they booed.
