The Lakers Gets Scorched by Suns 127-109, with Bad Games from LeBron, Davis, Reaves.

Hey everyone welcome to locked on Lakers for Friday Brian ketki Andy kimki the Lakers get burnt by the Suns see what we did there that’s Next you are locked on Lakers your daily Los Angeles Lakers podcast part of the locked on podcast Network your team every day Thanks to everybody for making lockdown Lakers first listen of everyday Monday through Friday no matter how or where you get your podcast this one’s always going to be free never locked behind a pay wall locked on Lakers on YouTube is where over 22,000 subscribers were wondering what the heck happened on

Thursday night as the Lakers were absolutely throttled by the Phoenix Suns 127 109 andna a game uh that wasn’t uh as close as the score might indicate um the the 20 the 16-point final margin was not indicative of the dominance of the Suns in this game um want to let people

Know that today’s episode’s brought to you by Jace medical Empower yourself when you purchase a Jace case providing you with a personal supply of five antibiotics that treat 50 infections get yours today at Jac medical.com use the code locked on to get $20 off your order that’s J medical.com the Lakers could

Have used some medicine on Thursday uh they were absolutely positively smoked Andy in this game there was no point in the 48 minutes where I really thought the Lakers were going to win this well to put this in perspective uh your lack of confidence uh 7 to6 the Lakers were up with

954 left in the first quarter that was the last time the Lakers LED in this game it was also the only time the Lakers LED in this game game things got out of hand really really fast um all three of the Suns big three had hit at

Least one three within the first four minutes of this game and be and Booker had hit two uh Devon Booker had 16 points on six of 10 shooting in the first quarter the Lakers turned the ball over five times in the first quarter it was absolutely ugly basically from Jump

Street in this game and the basically what it really came down to was just degrees of ugliness just how ugly things were on a possession by possession quarter by quarter basis um but it was pretty butt ugly the whole time the they um they were bad and you know it was

Another one of these nights where you know circumstances start to conspire to make things harder for you uh cam reddish played eight minutes in this game um say what you want about reddish as offense against a threesome like Booker Beal and Durant handy fellow to have around you know you want but he

Left with knee soreness after eight minutes didn’t return uh Christian Wood was unavailable um putting us back in the Jackson Hayes business Hayes had Christian Wood had a migraine just to clarify while he was out hopefully this is something that will not last because he was clearly missed and Jackson Hayes

Did not no let’s just say this he fouled out of the game Andy he had a one to one foul to points ratio um Jackson Hayes picked up four fouls in his first half four minutes like he came in immediately picked up an a legal screen he ended up

With six foul very very illegal like oh I mean he was like a pulling guard yeah it was incredibly illegal um he ended up falling out in 13 minutes on one hand it feels very Jackson Hayes on the other hand he might have been just thinking

Like look I’m not gonna play for another month I am damn right gonna use my six Precious Precious fouls well he’s he the way he played on Thursday he is correct he is not no there’s no Wally pip Happening Here Christian Wood assuming the migraine doesn’t keep him up

Christian Wood can sleep comfortably tonight it is uh you know it was just one of these games and you know I Anthony Davis was due to look human um at some point even you know all every Star does and Thursday was that night 13 points uh five rebounds and an assist uh

He had you know a couple blocks but overall this was not any kind of Anthony Davis signature game and you look around you say okay well this is one of those nights where you need the guy the somebody’s gonna pick him up well LeBron had 10 points five rebounds did have

Nine assists but um you know was not missed all of his three-point attempts was not good um you certainly but not by the standards of LeBron James Austin Reeves continues to to to struggle um and was really picked on defensively in particular okay Reggie Miller must have

Said anywhere from s to 10 times during this broadcast the TNT broadcast they’re pi on Austin Reeves they’re picking on Austin like I actually tweeted out at cam Brothers you know that gif from The Simpsons where the kids are gathered in that crowd horrified it’s like stop stop

He’s already dead I was like Reggie we get it they’re picking on Austin Reeves you’re right but like come on dude they Reeves was he got hit with a few shooting files they were going right at him there in the third quarter there was a sequence where Phoenix was going

Way out of their way like to the point where they could have called out what they were doing setting up torian Prince Austin Reeves pick and rolls and to put it generously the defensive coverage there went sideways every single time they do a great job or at least did in

This game of putting people on an island you know they there were a couple plays where Reeves ended up guarding Kevin Durant and like I there is literally nothing other than fouling him and just starting another possession that Austin Reeves can do to guard Kevin Durant

Because he’s he is to use the expression that is so popular these days Andy around the league Too Short uh he’s literally too small whatever it is too small to guard Uh Kevin Durant um so that’s not gonna work and then you know like there’s a reason Devin Booker is a

Guy who scored 30 points a game in the league and Bradley Beal has scored 30 points a game in the league if if you isolate these guys even when you move your feet I thought Max Christie for example had three or four possessions where on Booker on Beal he moved his

Feet very well stayed in front but then he get kind of victimized by the well you know I when do I go up like you know a couple times where chrisy ended up drawing you know they drew contact on him for an a one and so the next time

Chris’s a little hesitant to to go up and contest a shot and then they go up you know these are are really good offensive players the Lakers didn’t have an answer for it but the part that really that that part I was like okay I could see that coming the the stuff

Though that continues to annoy me at least is you know at one point I forget I I didn’t know what the final of it was because Phoenix was up 2510 in points off turnovers you can’t give this team 15 points and just be like here go and it’s

Like you said previewing this game um you know Thursday morning it’s not like Phoenix is a team that plays high pressure defense that turns you over the Lakers just made their lives simple and that can’t happen they turned the ball over like I said five times in the first

Quarter they turned it over nine times in the first half Darin ham after the game talked about how they gave up 17 second chance I mean 17 points off those turnovers so you have empty possessions and the Lakers doing a bad job defensively once they turn the ball over

There there was one point in the third quarter where Austin Reeves the it was a broken possession and he ended up having to put this really highly contested shot up over Durant like he had to work his ass off to get there shot ends up going down score is now at this point

9266 and Kevin Harland pointed out that this was the first basket the Lakers had scored in four and a half minutes I mean it just absolutely broke down in ugly ways offensively I mean really I thought on both sides of the ball the team was

Pretty bad I we’ll get into some of the individual performances I thought his statline is misleading in the sense that he played some garbage time but I thought D’Angelo Russell actually had a nice game and I thought while he wasn’t he was not a factor in trying to juice

The offense but it’s not what you expect from him anyway I thought Jared Vanderbilt played pretty well very least he’s starting to move and look more like Vanderbilt is supposed to but other than DLo and Vando I thought everybody else was somewhere between adequate is and pretty bad yeah

Um certainly we’ll we’ll break it down I I I’ve got some frustrations here and some things that just the flat out have to get better uh so we’ll we’ll talk about it next locked on Lakers is brought to you by Jace medical and we all use Sports to

And the surrounding areas and let one of their amazing team members help you or just apply online in minutes at logic banking.com SLC car that’s logixbanking.com car so I mean we the the the good and bad performances you know I we were talking before the that we started

Taping like I thought Christie was okay you thought he was a little less than that but like here’s the thing Max Christie is not going to save you um one way or the other if you know Davis is having an off night if LeBron can’t compensate for that if Reeves can’t pick

Up like they you know you can’t look for Max Christie to be the guy so like this is just one of these games where it is starting to become really clear that unless the Lakers can get players on the floor haimura who you know was listed as doubtful and didn’t

Play in this game ough Darin ham did say though in pregame that ruie had a really good workout on Thursday so there is some optimism that he will be available Saturday put at least they’re putting him on the injury report where they weren’t even doing that before he was just

Out so you know hopefully he plays this weekend or if not this weekend on Saturday in Utah which is a looking like a both a really important and really challenging game um you know that maybe he plays Monday but like they’re missing too many guys um The Supporting Cast

Needs to be more whole um to to compete because the Lakers are 19 and 20 and have had a healthy LeBron and AD I mean if you think if you’re looking for a sign of like uh oh this could be problematic going down the road like they those guys have been healthy um

Save a game or here game or two here there and they are still a game under 500 I know that’s I’m not the first person to point this out but it is a it is a red flag if nothing else it is a red flag although I also think to some degree

It’s misleading to frame it that way because at this stage of LeBron’s career he needs more support than he has in the past so his availability while obvious ly is important and there are still times where LeBron can play at an incredibly high level he cannot play at

An incredibly high level over the course of 35 to 40 minutes the entire 35 to 40 minutes he cannot and he can’t do it he can’t do it for 25 30 40 game chunks like he was playing MVP is you know adjacent level ball for the first 25 games you know 20

Games whatever it was when the Lakers needed that contributions and you can tell now how much the first chunk of games at the season took out of him because the legs come and go they’re not quite there and the inconsistency is UN LeBron likee yeah I mean it’s impossible

To you know prove a negative or see how things would have looked on Earth too but I am I’m not as convinced that this is entirely the byproduct of having to go hard in the first 20ish games but here’s the thing even if it is these are also things that you often

Need from your star players to do anyway so one way or another there is this is something I’ve talked about a lot over the last couple years a lot of the focus on Anthony Davis’s inconsistent icies as a scorer the guy has been averaging in the mid

20s the last few regular seasons the issue is LeBron needs more than that and then you start getting into the questions of Austin Reeds is he actually I think what it is right right but I mean both in this game and over the last several games but also the idea of is

Austin Reeves actually good enough to be the third player on a championship caliber team or sometimes frankly the second best player there are times when you need where LeBron is right now you need your second best player or your third best player to be capable of playing second best player on a

Contending team you know what yeah Reeves is not at that level he just he’s not that’s not shade at him but he’s not not and like you know you we even without sort of getting into the weeds of like you know sort of the LeBron part of

It when you look around the league third guys there’s always that you know every you know every some you know eighth game whatever it is I’m making up numbers here but like you know Tobias Harris goes off for you know 29 and whatever you know and you know in this case

Bradley Beal is the third best player he had 31 like you know it’s he’s a bit of an asterisk with that but you know um Aaron Gordon with with nuggets Drew holiday with or porzingis with Bost or you know Derek white has you know 38 points or 32 points or 286 Point like

Those are the games that you’re not getting from Reeves and it’s it’s again it’s not necessarily shade um but it is it’s a structural thing where on the nights where you need Reeves to be a level up that’s not where he’s been and quite frankly in from a consistency

Stand it’s been more of a level down lately he’s been a level down overall over the course of the Season he’s been you know got off to a really bad start Darin moved him to the bench that helped straighten him out or you know causation correlation whatever it is he got better

Um but hasn’t been great um you know since then and you know look usage rate is up the activity is up the the responsibility is up it’s a lot of stuff to do and as we’ve seen and you’ve made this point a lot teams scouting better they’re fig they’re you know attacking

Him like we saw on Thursday to make him work harder defensively they’re more I think careful well they’re also on the line they’re also too and I mean I want to make it clear this is not me saying that I don’t think Reeves is that Reeves is lacking the defensive

Effectiveness through indifference no he’s tries he tries hard but as he and this is something I I give credit they’ve talked about this a lot on Lakers film room uh Pete Darius and Mike as Reeves’s respon responsibilities have increased before he used to be able to devote more attention defensively and

Frankly needed to in order to carve out a career but he’s now being asked to do more but he has to find that balance of truly being a two-way player or the Lakers need to find more ways to alleviate certain responsibilities so maybe he can go back to devoting a

Little bit more to defense balance or he needs to be better off he needs to be much better offensively to compensate right now you’re not getting enough of either one right the balance as a two-way player which he was much more of last year MH is not there this year no

And he’s not I think you put it perfectly he is not effective enough offensively to offset what you aren’t getting from him defensively for the minutes that he’s expected to play and frankly needs to play he’s still in the upper end of this team and it’s easier

To pick on him with the lineups that they’re putting out and the the Personnel that they have available than it was last year um you know with that sort of that starting lineup that they went know with you know you can hide him a little bit better and you have the

Sort of the structural Integrity of shuder next to you and some of these other things and um and and and a higher functioning offense like this is the thing that I was actually G to talk about like you know we joked it at the beginning of the season when Darin says

I’d like to play LeBron like 30 minutes a night or 28 minutes a night or whatever whatever this number was we all laughed at because it wasn’t GNA happen but the reality is he was right like that you know in a perfect world that would be better so you know the Hope was

That you would have with Russell and Reeves and torian Prince and ruy and you know Gabe Vincent and whatever a lot of the these are names that you know we haven’t seen much of because they’ve been out of the lineup so much that they would have an offense that could help

Take some burden away so LeBron could have more 32-minute games 31 minute games it hasn’t happened Andy and the offense is actually I think maybe worse than people realize so we’ll talk about it next locked on Lakers is brought to you by priz piix the largest independently owned daily fantasy sports platform in

North America instead of battling thousands of other players including pros and sharks you pick more than or less than on two to six player stat projections and watch the winnings roll in up to 25 times your money and you can now pick combo projections across football and basketball from the

Specials league created specifically for projections that include two or more players from different sports or leagues for example LeBron James and Travis Kelce at a 10 and a half combo of three-pointers made plus receptions and with prize picks reboot policy your entry stay in play even if one of your

Players gets injured in NFL games NBA games if you have a player who exits the game in the first half doesn’t return in the second like say what happened with Cam reddish tonight that player is rebooted prize piix is the only daily fantasy sports platform with injury

Insurance go to prix.com locked on NBA and use that code locked on NBA for a first deposit match up to 100 bucks again priz picks.com lockon NBA priz picks daily fantasy sports made easy so I mean I I I actually think you know the answer to these things because

You’re a you know we you follow the team and you cover this stuff pretty closely and you pay attention and so on um but going into this game where were the Lakers in defensive rating defense efficiency I’m using basketball reference but like everybody computes it slightly differently but ballpark it

I’ll say 19th 10th really 10th okay the def bet I bet they well I I was going to say it dropped I’m sure it dropped on Thursday it’s I was gonna say I think it’s dropped a lot over the last month but anyway go on it could be I I mean I

Could look at it what it was but like you know they it it went up against the Clippers like that was a good defensive game anyway it doesn’t matter doesn’t matter where are they offensively uh 38 behind South Bay behind the uh the Mad Ants and some

Other teams they are 20 and it’ll get worse after this one um they came into the game tonight 24th in in offensive rating they are a terrible offensive team and you just can’t be that bad um and you know they and expect to succeed um you know they turn the ball

Over still way way too much um and if you can’t shoot and they still seem to be you know if not struggling in raw percentages struggling in that good God that ball needs to go in Factor like they they miss every one of those shots um and you know the raw percentages

Aren’t great they’re 22nd in the league right now in three-point percentage it’s just you know for the defense needs to get better it needs to be more consistent or whatever but they’re offense costs them 10 points a night uh at least because it can’t function and you know whether it’s

Straight raw turnovers or bad possessions that leave you imbalanced on the other side of the ball they they are dis they’re completely dysfunctional at this point on a you know game- to game basis judged by the standards of a team you would expect or was hoping to contend for a

Title well one of one of the big factors when you talk about just the offense being dysfunctional and this is something I’ve hit on on a few occasions this season they do not take enough shots they are bottom five in the league and just feel goals attempted and that

Is a byproduct of as you pointed out turning the ball over too often it is a byproduct of them seemingly part of their scheme is crapping away 16 seconds before they decide to actually get into a set like they they they are not they’re an unserious offensive team like they just

Are they too often don’t look like I mean I will be the first to admit I am you know I’m not Eric spola I can’t drop the greatest plays in the world but I’ve seen enough basketball to know what a play looks like and too right yeah too

Often they don’t look like running Jack bleep out there they just don’t yeah I mean I watched you know I pay attention to like the the you know uh Tim uh underscore NBA you know cran just SM basketball the Lakers exceptionals in podcast does a great job tracking you

Know how what percentage of trips are are um you know are called plays which ones aren’t and that number had been trending up um but like to some degree it the it all of these things conspire like even when they do it well like they it’s it’s it’s it’s it’s sort

Of nonfunctional because you know when reddish starts you’re playing with um you know kind of four on five reddish or Vanderbilt Vanderbilt’s about four and a half on five because he’s starting to move better without the ball make himself useful in other ways but he’s an offensive negative that you can ignore

Um you know teams I think are still perfect okay to let LeBron take outside shots rather than you know punish them at The Rim um Austin Reeves while he sometimes I gotta be honest sometimes given that LeBron’s shooting close to 40% and some of those layups that he’s

Missing I think you can argument either way it’s night tonight I mean there are certain nights where he’s got it go you tonight you know Thursday he was 0 for four but like I you know I still think that if nothing else there’s that you

Know if you choose kind of factor to it and where the shots coming from or when um but you know Reeves had you was com came into the game shooting you know small sample size 16% in January from three-point range like we we just talked in the last

Segment about how he’s not enough and tan prince it’s like he was three of eight for on Thursday night like that’s not bad except you end up with a lot of these situations where you know the volume of shots that’s available to torian Prince is really high and to some degree he

Needs to take them like I got to take these open three-pointers he had some quick he had I think five or eight quick points in this game like he wasn’t doing it but it’s like it’s it’s sort of problematic when you know Prince ends up with 14 three-pointers like that’s just

Too much Tori and Prince and he’s they don’t even have to be bad shots but they’re the types of shots that indicate that the other team is doing a really good job of dictating the types of shots that you get because I don’t think you

Want I don’t think you want to tilt your offense that heavily you know to to Prince or you know like it even when things sometimes result in a clean look they don’t always result in the in in like in in something at least to me that looks like the Lakers are getting

The shots and like dictating the flow of what the offense is supposed to look like well I mean they’re really bad well this is Appo for a night where mentioned before I don’t think Anthony Davis played particularly well in this game you know even Superstars are entitled to

A night off Anthony Davis has been playing his ass off he is maybe the guy you can point the finger at least on this team when it comes to figuring out what is going wrong but that being said because this was this was a night where I thought they

Did not look to get him the ball enough do you know where ad ranks in the NBA for field goal attempts per game oh God it’s um 33rd I was going to say I was going to put it somewhere in the 20s he’s 33rd in field goal attempts on a team that

Struggles to score what the f man and and by the way it’s not like he’s 33rd because he’s you know playing you know short minutes and all that like the guy is leading the league in whatever it is and and whatever you want to say before about Anthony Davis’s lack of aggression

We’ve talked about it many times this season past seasons whatever I think sometimes it can be an overblown topic Anthony Davis has not been unaggressive this season he has been looking for his shot D’Angelo Russell say it again is the only guy on this team who consistently looks for

Ad if not First Option like 1.5 option like looking for him consistently involving him consistently he again there is no reason that he should be 33rd in field goal attempts on a team that is starving for offense like that that in and of itself is jacked up I apologize Andy he’s he’s

Only eighth in total minutes to have 33rd most shot attempts you know what I mean like right that’s a great that’s a great number that’s a really great number that is just in and of itself indicative of all the things that are not being utilized well or effectively

With this team because again this is not a year where you can complain that ad doesn’t want the ball is looking for a shot any of that bleep that is not the case this year um it I don’t know what the the the solution here is I mean to

Some degree nobody likes to hear this but to some degree it is the Darin explanation of it’s like we need CHR you know Christian Wood in the lineup uh we need ruy haimura back we need the flexibility of Gabe Vince probably needs to I mean he played D I

Think D had this game been closer um would have been on the floor a lot um I I think we might be getting to a place where DLo is going to start playing a little bit more in Su it’s like you look at okay well yes you have your top two guys your

Number three is not performing in the way he should and then you have but you’re missing too many factors that that can boost it up and get you six to eight extra points per player whatever might be and you can’t rely on Max Christie to pick up your offense when

Three other you know two or three other guys are missing okay but and this is where the Daris is like well you this is where you probably lost some time playing Jackson Hayes as long as he did and um you know the I they’re not going to get anywhere close to

Contention and quite frankly um intention at this point is a little too ambitious of a place to be looking at if they don’t beat Utah on Saturday I’m I think they’re actually out of the play in um you know however temporarily um they’re not GNA they’re

Not going to get anywhere close to where they want to go until they can get become a at least an ordinary offensive team you are correct but really quick just because until that day comes with the offense it puts even more onus on the defense and Darin was asked after

This game um if they’re getting the requisite defensive effort from Guys across the board on a game by- game basis I thought it was very interesting Darin talked about certain guys on a minute’s restriction guys dealing with injuries you know just one of those nights couldn’t push through you know

Cam was dealing with stuff what he never said was yes you didn’t even say yes but you got to remember blah blah blah you didn’t say yes I think it’s telling where Darin who if you can fault him at times for being too positive when it

Feels like dude why are you trying to polish this like you actually ought to be lighting into guys a little bit more that Darin didn’t even attempt to lie a little bit I thought was telling it’s uh it’s a space that play that they’re

In look I mean they they can go out and you know overall the if you if you were graphing you know are they playing better than they were yes they are they are playing better than they were the stretch of games that they’re in right

Now like yes they’re at home a lot but like the teams are playing really good this was the first game in a while where they truly crap the bed right and that’s gonna happen sometimes and we’ll see what happens on Saturday but like just it just doesn’t get easier that’s the

Thing it’s like they’re going to have to they’ve beaten good teams this year they have a lot of like you don’t have that many wins and you start going down the ladder like they’ve beaten a lot of really good teams around the league they can do it but they they aren’t at a

Place right now where you can rely on them to be good um you know seven games out of 10 and I think it’s because they cannot score you go back to the Clipper game like they grinded that thing out you know mostly they got a couple big

Buckets when they needed it it scored 106 points um like that it’s a hard way to live in the NBA trying to win games now where you’re only scoring 106 points is not the league that that we’re in anymore no so um that’s got to get better um anyway lockdown Lakers on

YouTube is where you can go hang out vent with over 22,000 subscribers to the channel we’ll be back Saturday night to uh tell you all about the Utah game a little nervous about that one Andy see everyone uh over the weekend

The Lakers put two victories together heading into Thursday’s nationally televised game against the Suns, but clearly aren’t yet “healed” as a group. That became abundantly clear about two minutes into Thursday’s game. Phoenix was all over the Lakers early, falling behind only once (7-6) in the entire game.

Frankly, the game wasn’t as close as the 127-109 score might indicate.

The Lakers were sloppy, turning the ball over five times in the first quarter and 18 times overall. The Suns, meanwhile, aren’t necessarily a group that forces a lot of TOs, but can certainly take advantage of them. The Big 3 was on point, with Bradley Beal and Devin Booker each socring over 30 points, allowing Kevin Durant to assert himself only as needed, which wasn’t a whole lot.

Anthony Davis played his first fully “meh” game in a while, finishing with 13 points. LeBron had 10. Austin Reaves, whose play has been all over the map, was picked on mercilessly on the defensive side by Frank Vogel and the Suns offense. Booker, Durant and Beal are good enough to score on anyone when they’re playing really well. If that player has vulnerabilities, whether footspeed/agility (Reaves) or experience (Max Christie) they’ll toast you.

And that’s basically what happened.

So why exactly are the Lakers so awful defensively? 24th in the league coming into Thursday’s game, a number that will get worse, likely.

  1. Reaves is a bargain. Too much is expected of him relative to his ability and salary. The combination of his ability, somewhere around a mid-class Ginobili, and his salary, which around $5 million less than Hachimura, makes him a valuable asset that the Lakers are correct to hold on to.

  2. Non-Lakers comment: I cannot believe you guys are advertising antibiotic “kits” without a prescription. Antibiotic resistance is a public health crisis, and selling these like expensive candy is a disastrous idea.

    Also Lakers suck.

  3. Pelinka put a shitty product on the floor…then you go an hire a subpar assistant coach as a Head Coach thinking we've got a shot. We have no shooters. Scorers yes, but shooters….noT. Shop BRON, we're not getting a trophy this sesson or next.

  4. Reaves is a decent role player at best. His defense is atrocious. There is no way he should not be considered in a move to upgrade at the guard level. I get the success story but he is not a cornerstone on a team.

  5. DLO and AD talked about their system not being good in an interview and I'll say this:
If the Lakers are going to keep Darvin then they need to get an assistant coach that focuses on offense. Aside from Phil Handy, I question the assistants that he has and wonder if an Alvin Gentry type or even Rondo would be available as a "consultant" the 5 and out is either not implemented correctly OR the team has no confidence in it and show this…the fact 2 of your players are openly challenging your system is telling.

  6. Why is austin untouchable?? Beal and booker went at him like a wolf looking for a squirrel. Hes not elite lakers can pick up something really good for him.

  7. You guys say this is one does games 🤦🏻‍♂️I said they have been a lot of games like this 😂😂😂 why do u guys think they at 11 from 5 they where

  8. • Book & Beal were On 🔥and They Cooked 👨🏽‍🍳 AR & Max however, They Would've Cooked Carushow/White/Holiday 2night!!!
    • Our Perimeter Opponents aren't forced to work on Defense bcuz Our Offense is so Stagnant and AR/D'Lo/Max don't put Pressure on The Defense. Max has the ability to take Players Off the Dribble but, He's Young.
    • AD's Mid-Range Shot was Off and that Shot fuels ⛽️ His entire Offensive Game!!!
    • LBJ is still Human and the Difference between the 39Yr Old & 29Yr Old LBJ is that LBJ can't put up 30+ Every Night or beat Players off the Dribble in the 1/2 Court @ 39.
    • We Need a Trade – D'Lo/Rui/FINO/Jaxson for LaVine/Drummond!!!

Side Note – Regardless of who We acquire, I strongly doubt We Win another Championship 🏆 during The LBJ Era.

  9. Look the system is trash both on the offensive and defensive end the coaching is terrible. DLO should start Reeves is not ready yet.

  10. LeBron has a tough shooting night…only 10 points against the Suns Jan 11, 2024 for example…0% from 3 pointers, 27% FG, and 57% free throw shooting.

  11. Yall please don’t come in here hyping up Mays. The man looked good in garbage time in a blowout, we do this every year with someone new lol

  12. Everyone speaking on Reeves defense as he guards Booker, KD and Beal, future hall of famers. Please pay attention to Lebron on defense. They're playing 4 against 5 most of time. He doesnt get back on defense because he's complaining about calls. He spent the evening guarding the weakest player on the court.

  13. Look man, I’m going to say this one more time. This is a coaching issue -period!!! They have no idea what they’re trying to accomplish on offense. Ham doesn’t have any offensive scheme that make sense, he seriously out coached ever night and it’s obvious. I know the Lakers brass doesn’t want to look bad and bite the bullet but Ham has to go! Even with a trade it won’t make much of a difference because the coach doesn’t know what he’s doing!

  14. I can't tell if the Lakers were bothered by the loss or not because LeBron and AD were cracking jokes laughing it up and the coaches were too

  15. Could the Lakers be playing possum saving it for the play in. So LeBron can also say he lead a play in team to the championship. It makes no sense for them to play like they did to win IST just to free fall. I suspect they will hover around the 8th or 9th seed

  16. I think I just need to accept the fact that this team is going no where and will be lucky to even make the play in , SMH

  17. Lakers beat the teams they have to beat. They had to beat the Clippers they didn’t have to beat the Suns we beat them 3 times this year. We are not worried about them. What they are doing is coasting and playing possum until the play in. That’s their goal. LeBron wants to be the first to take a play in team to the championship

  18. Poor pre game planning , scouting and the lakers have ZERO OFFENSIVE PLAYS. it's all ribble drive kick and decide, like its a video game and they got a 99 rating.. nope in real life it's easy to stop.

  19. Just say lebron is washed up guys. I know y’all don’t wanna get fired but it is what it is. Get him outa here and get some new young blood as your star or stars.

  20. These 2 brothers refuse to admit certain things, they are the same ones who used to say that Reaves is a good defender, now they see the reality, they think that Reaves is better than DLO while Dlo is the best playmaker, the best scorer than Reaves, refuse to see that max is not a good defender, they want to remove cam to put max in the starting lineup,or max is a bbq chicken, He can't guard the best player, cam can..

  21. Reaves is a walking Bucket…. unfortunately, it's just for the other team lol. But seriously its weird because as much as i seem like a Reaves hater, Im actually a Reaves realist and he was actually Solid on Defense last year. What happened to his defense?

  22. Think we stopped making shots in the first quarter!!!! That’s when we lost hamon should have taken out the starters ad n LEBRON sucked!!! GO LAKERS on to the next

  23. Lakers don’t care about the regular season. By March they will look great or it’s over for LeBron era!

  24. Guys can we cut the bullshit. This team has no fucking identity looking at the damn Magic you can see their identity and this team with stars has crap

  25. these 2 idiots are lyke *laskers nation. makin excuses for an ass juice squad that onli plays hard when there's 500k on the table. we kno alien peniz head silver couldnt help his gurlfriend on bac 2 bac nytes w/o lookin suspect. LEzesty gettin his 10 pts 2 keep his streak alive was the blac cloud over the game. veri nice seein this deplorable an entitled franchise get shyt on.

  26. The only offense is pick and roll. But we can't shoot. Need cutters. To easy to defend. LBJ good on offense. Terrible on defense

  27. If lala lankers loose 2 San Anto then they have huge problems even 2 🚍 fam. Every one gotta 🐝✂️ off. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
lala landkers Le Burnt 2 crisp 🤣🤣🤣

  28. Jaxon hayes gotta go asap get a real center two as a matter of fact stop signing guards

  29. I think one issue that does get addressed but it’s not really focused on is that every team that the lakers play mark their calendars for the lakers. They come and give it more then 100%. So the lakers are always getting bombarded with everyone’s best shot. Hard to always be on your top standard tier of play!!!! Let’s go lakers

  30. I’m a defense first guy, but if you don’t make shots NOTHING, NOTHING AT ALL MATTERS ALSO AD N LEBRON HAVE TO PLAY LIKE MAX PLAYERS…

  31. Lakers gonna set the record for most opponents to come into their arena and shoot season/ careers highs from 3
