Tough first probably like 15 16 minutes um then they started to adjust a little bit so uh we didn’t have really another adjustment past that you know so it’s like uh put the put the coverage in try fly around um it worked a little bit but

Overall just not good enough uh IQ um to consistently you know be able to to get it done and that’s a tough team you give them credit you know it’s they’ve been the best team in the league this year so you see why could you summarize what the

Adjustment was what’s different as far as what do you mean the defensive adjustment that you made not the one that would have come next oh yeah I mean well we typically uh just switch everything try to play more one-on-one but with the guys that they have we try

To you know double a little bit more be more aggressive aggressive and make the extra rotation um with porzingis being out past the three-point line we had um Al up to be aggressive and kind of rotate from there so um we did a decent job early on but um over the course of

The you know first half was uh they got they got hot and then it’s hard to slow down once they get hot the from C the reason I asked that is does that which then seem to apply to the rest of this road trip uh Maxi Brunson to defend that

Way is this something that we might be seeing ongoing that’d be a question for Coach uh John but uh I mean it’s a it’s a good uh time for us to you know keep practicing and keep working and um you know we’re going to continue to try

He’s getting his rhythm uh offensively um he’s not looking over his shoulder uh we know his offensive Talent his physicality is athleticism and can translate any night um he’s picking up more defensively coverages and it’s being locked into the team game so he’s growing in all of those areas but uh

Yeah he’s he’s a special talent you see why you guys have had some good moments in the first half of the season does tonight kind of show this group of what it takes to beat the best teams in the leag I mean it shows whatever you want to

Take away from I wouldn’t I I I’m not in the overreaction business um you know it was a tough night that we had last night uh late night getting in didn’t really have enough juice to compete you know with this team that we needed um and and

We still put together a decent you know first half or half of a first half so uh I’m not I’m not a overreacting type of guy but there there’s lessons in in every game you said this game shows what you want to take from it what do you

Take from from this game from a game like this uh sometimes you’re the bug sometimes you’re the windshield you got you got to be able to to flush it and and move on to the next um obviously look at the film see if there’s anything you can take from it

But uh it’s it’s a 82 Game season eay did highlight he said like a bit of a lack of competitiveness in the third quarter a lack of physicality kind of throughout the game how how do you fix those things moving forward to the next game uh

Uh yes I mean try harder fight harder uh be you should be embarrassed you should be you know those are the things that are unacceptable those are the things that we can’t tolerate um wins losses you know good play Bad play Miss shot made shot it’s it’s it goes like that

But being competitive and fighting you know every night that’s that’s got to be non-negotiable thank you thanks
