Would you look at the team’s defense and when Jaden McDaniels is on the floor wonder how critical is it to this team to keep him on the floor and and what do you see in him that kind of makes him that Elite defensive player yeah um he’s

Got a a really unique makeup you know being uh as tall as he is as you know uh versatile as he is as quick as he is um to be able to to guard a lot of positions and uh he’s a guy that just literally takes such such Pride on that

On the floor that he doesn’t care who he guards he’s going out there to to you know shut the water off he does need to go out there and get shots up r that he’s just trying to play defense and there’s not many guys that that can come

Out there with that mentality in the league and um you know he he’s special for our team and we need him every night you know so hopefully um he just continues to to grow and get better um as as the games go on cuz I know he’s he’s continually improving on both ends

Of the floor you guys have led with your defense all season long but in a game like this tonight with so many offensive players on the court how critical is it that the team defense concept is consistent yeah the team defense is going to be uh key for us tonight you

Know they got a lot of guys that that that can hurt you on you know the offensive end and um it’s one of those rare teams where everybody’s everybody’s a threat kind of uh you know for us it’s going to take a collective you know effort everybody communicating and being

Disciplined on defense and uh trying to limit them to to tougher possessions and and hopefully one possession at a time we can just build upon each other and uh and and and you know get better as the game goes on we’re seeing some special Play From The Bigs on this team in both

Cat and um go bear are you seeing anything different in particular with those two as they just kind of continue to keep that high level and then towns’ decision may be as far as when to take threes and when to attack yeah um you know it’s it’s it’s going to be a you

Know process no matter how we shake it it’s not going to be something we figured out um I know people wanted to be you know happen day one of last year when they got together but um the the guy they bring so much for our team in

So many different ways and each game by game they can change the game in different ways so uh cat being able to to dictate when he can be aggressive when to make plays Rudy being the threy he is going through the pain and and the gravity that he creates from rolling and

Setting screens getting Guys open and finishing out the rim um both of them together in tandem they’re tough tough Duo to stop when they both are playing their best and lastly your ability to well connect to everyone um and assisting your teammates has been just outstanding this season but that special

Connection with you and Rudy in particular has been really good this season just a comfortable atast with you two on the floor together what is yeah you know obviously we have history and it’s easy to um trust each other you know we get out in the court and uh he’s

A guy that you know like Jaden you know sacrifices himself a lot for the team he goes out there runs up and down the court guards people set screens and gets us Little Guys open for open shots and uh so for me it’s about rewarding him

You know making sure that he gets you know the ball and make sure he gets the opportunities to to you know affect the game on you know the offensive end as well as what he’s doing the defensive end
