Nurk has been great for us but his advanced numbers aren’t a surprise given the lineuups.
Nurk always plays with KD and the starters, and to add to that his backups are rubbish.

Nurk finished +15.2 for portland in 2021/2022 so he’s got a history of this. Ayton’s net On/Off was -4.9 last year for us, for comparison. We actually did better when he wasn’t on the court. Ayton’s absolute best year was 2019/2020, his sophmore year, when he finished +5.3, and immediately followed it up with a +0.9 in 20/21.
I almost feel bad for Portland with how badly we robbed them in that trade. Almost. Nurk and Allen are both such massive upgrades, at a fraction of the cost of Ayton, and Little looks decent whenever he’s healthy enough to get minutes too.
