When you hear people say Podz and TJD have unusually good feel for the game for first year rookies, plays like this are what they mean.
And this is why they get minutes as first year rookies that Kuminga and Moody didn’t, because neither of them were making these kinds of reads their first year or even their second year.
I **promise** I can find clips of Kuminga and Moody making that kind of read as rookies.
Also, it’s fascinating that the talking point has shifted from “Moody makes reads that Kuminga doesn’t” to “TJD and Podz make reads that Kuminga *and* Moody don’t.” Why are we shifting our view of Moody’s BBIQ all of a sudden?

No one here is ready for this conversation because it doesn’t fit the agenda of Kerr doesn’t play young guys.

TJD is turning 24 soon, Moody and Kuminga are very young. Podz is unusually aware, but I’d say TJD looks like someone who played in college, he still regularly makes mistakes, but is very good for a rookie.

Yall missing that Podz/Trayce came into the nba after 3/4 years in college vs JK and Mood who did Ignite/1 year in college. They’re all roughly the same age now

I doubt it’s even this as much as defensive rotations we can’t see easily
