Indiana just got better. The East now has another tough playoff matchup for us.

Love the trade for Toronto unfortunately.

A potential first round opponent for the Cavs just got better. Right now, it looks like we’d play one of the Pacers, Knicks, or Heat in the first round. Among them, I’d probably still rather face the Pacers over the other two, but they’d all be a tough out.

Every time something like this happens I look at the East and think about how Boston, Philly, and Milwaukee aren’t going to last forever. Then I remember that neither Embiid nor Giannis is 30 and Tatum is only 25. Unless one of those dudes moves to the West, the top of the East is going to be a battle no matter what moves everyone else makes.

Excellent piece of business for the Pacers. Siakam is a really good player, I like the deal for them. If I was Toronto, I probably would have rather had Walker or Nembhard instead of that 2nd 1st round pick this year.

Are the Pacers better? Yes. Should the Cavs be afraid? No. The main title contenders in the East are the Celtics and Bucks, Cavs do need another forward capable of at least defending against the Jays/Giannis without fouling but thats it. Those are the teams that are ahead of everyone else, the Cavs playoff chances rest in the hands of the players playing up to their ability and potential.
