The court of public opinion has already tarnished Giddey’s reputation and made up their mind about his character. The amount of judgment and backlash he’s received, and will continue to receive (probably for the rest of his life), is disheartening to see.

Once it was clear she and her family weren’t cooperating, there was no other way for this to go. We’ll never really know the details, people will just choose which side to believe. Some will say he’s a pedophile and groomer, others will say he was naive and tricked. Both are based on rumor and speculation. Giddey was a dumbass for getting involved in this at all, and it really sucks that the girl got dragged into it and publicly doxxed. The investigation ending isn’t going to change anyone’s perception, though.
