Might as well do a rebrand next year, maybe even give BBQ a say.

ADD THE SCOTTIE BARNES ERA TO WIKIPEDIA NOW

  3. Raptors887

Since the OG trade it looks more like the Quickley/Barrett era

  4. Delabroo

Also let Dick loose now too! I understand he’s struggling, but why the hell not now. What are we holding onto this year? Give him a shot and go from there

He needs to look for his shot more. IQ and Barrett should not have more shots than him. He wants to pass it to the open guy all the time, but at some point he has to recognize he can beat anyone on the other team 1 v 1.

  6. Massive_Secretary658

Hopefully he starts playing well again. Only one all star worthy game since the trade.

This is first time I’ve been down on the future of the team since 2014. I just don’t see the vision or have faith in any of these players. Which one of these guys is the best player on a team that could win the ECF? Who’s the number 2 that’s gonna be the guy to carry a playoff game when the number 1 is having an off night. You need one shot to win a game, who’s that guy?

  8. Auriicus

The path has been cleared we are now in the Scottie Barnes era.

  9. WhatShouldTheHeartDo

It’s like Chris Boucher doesn’t exist

  10. The BBQ era has begun. We’ll see how the team is filled out around those three.

Scottie is gonna be great.. a few games ago when he was going at LeBron all game… I expect it every night tbh.

There’s no room for passiveness anymore. He will be extremely aggressive and probably take some bad shots as well but it’s all a part of development.

Yall wanted to see him get 20+ shots a game, it starts tonight

  12. By the time Gradey is playable and these late 1st rounders are any good, Scottie is going to be looking to win. They’re now stuck in a perpetual state of ‘re-tooling’. Crazy they ruined this franchise so badly.

Like, do you really think Scottie will want to play with Dick and some bench guys picked at 28th?

Is Scottie’s improvement this year the catalyst for the two trades?

Did Masai decide that Scottie showed that he was worth building around, which is why we moved OG and PS for players around Scottie’s timeline?

Is Scottie talented enough to deserve this effort?

A lot people have a lot to say about moves we’ve made in recent years and rightfully so. You make moves and take chances, the results don’t always end up being the ceiling and they don’t always end up going your way.

All that is over now, we have a young team going forward with some talent and maybe a real star if Scottie can turn into that player. Let’s gooooo raptors!

  15. attainwealthswiftly

No one left to blame but Scottie

  16. Yeah these last few weeks got me doubting it lol.

  17. LemmingPractice

Great, we have moved from the “clear the path for Scottie” era, and now get to witness the dawn of the, “get that man some help” era. Can’t wait.

Hoping for the best in this new era.

Always remember Masai only got the chance at Barnes because the team stunk in the bubble, a surprise to the front office rather than by design.

And always remember Masai tried to trade Kyle Lowry at the very start.

  19. hypespud

Scottie needs to start demanding the ball, be assertive, get the mismatches, I’m here for it and the sky is the limit for this man, go get it Barnes 😎💎

Hope he can be a consistent 20-8-10 player as the face of the franchise right now he’s not consistent in creating his own shots. Now that pascal is gone he has plenty of space to create his own bucket in the paint and mid range with shooters around him. Wish scottie was playing with the same aggressiveness as Rj Barret. Bullying his way into the paint and kicking out to the open shooter at the right time.
