Coaching has to adjust an offense when 2 players have went 9-33 and are killing possessions.

Coaching has to adjust when a team has shown they are incapable of having an offense that is nothing more than chucking 3’s.

Coaching has to adjust when the team is just alternating W’s and L’s with no consistency.

Coaching has to adjust when the team for a season and a half routinely lose to teams resting their best players and are depleted.

Coaching has to adjust and give other players a chance when the regular rotation is just going in motion. It has to be based on effort not just results. Holmes is sitting games despite being the team’s 2nd best big this year.

Coaching has to do better than say “I’m just the coach” or “I’m watching just like you guys.” Sarcasm or not, you’re the leader.

Coaching has to quit destroying young player’s momentum and ruining their confidence. Sports are just as much mental as physical.

Man, I always feel like we look more like a shit team in our losses, than a good team in our wins.

Sure we’ve had a couple heartbreaking losses this season but most of the time it feels like we get beat up when we lose, straight up dominated.

Whereas a lot of our wins are predicated on insane shooting where it doesn’t feel like a sustainable formula. Rarely do we really bully teams and defeat them in a demoralising way for them. Again, we’ve had a few blow out wins of course but that tends to be against weaker line ups.

All that to say, it’s hard to believe in this current team (and coach) with regards to post season success. We’re a work progress but we have a ready now superstar. Nico has some work to do.

Also, pissed me off how many hype highlight plays the Lakers got ffs

  3. misbrichi

We should start sitting tim after games when he goes nuclear. You know you’re about to get a 5/17 0/8 from 3 performance the next game every time.

  4. Juniper41

Kidd has gotta go. We are a 0.500 team as long as he is here.

  5. misbrichi

It sucks that I care and get so mad about this shit only to see Kidd having the time of his life post game with Lebron and AD

  6. Just awful shooting tonight for us, we live and die by the 3 but some of yall are crazy in the game thread. On to the next one.

  7. Lakers are one of the biggest teams in the league so Kidd decides to run a small ball lineup with no Lively for the entire 3rd lmao. At least Luka looked healthy.

  8. PetSpaceRock

ngl watching kidd yuck it up with AD and LeBron after a shit loss is pretty infuriating

oh that’s my bad, I forget he’s just the coach

  9. shirtlessjoejac

No 3s hitting. No backup plan. Shake it off we got GS next

  10. GGGeralt

Midness and greatness are two sides of the same coin. Every time a new Mavs game is played, the gods toss the coin in the air and Mavs fans holds their breath to see how it will land.

THJ and Kyrie went from 40 point bros to the trash 12s

  12. lost_in_trepidation

It’s probably not the reason we lost this game, but starting THJ along with Luka and Kyrie against a team with a huge size + athleticism advantage is such a massively dumb move.

I don’t understand what the coaching staff was thinking.

  13. sogood-_

Damn welcome to the NBA moment for Lively.

AD absolutely cooked him all night long.

  14. this_is_a_name522

I would rather play omax than grant tbh

  15. Disastrous-Start-772

    Kidd:

What do you want me to do? I am not the one shooting and playing basketball. Do you really expect me to coach and shit like this? Fuck you guys blaming me, it’s you fault that you made me angry, so now I will have to beat up my wife.

  16. MFFL12_17

Thats not a good follow up game after a forty point performance. Luka triple double wasted. THJ needs to be consistent.

  17. RyceMenace

Someone get Terry Stotts in the building to assist Kidd or relieve him of his duties.

  18. johndogerty

We need to accept this isn’t a good regular season team. All we can hope for is a Miami Heat type run in the playoffs.

  19. StefonDiggsHS

    weird game.

energy was all over the place and there was just a complete lack of emotion as the lakers just kicked our ass. we looked deflated from the tip.

oh well Lakers basically swapped shooting luck with us

Stinkers happen as we’ve seen plenty this season already.

    I will say

Small Ball has to end man

  20. this_is_a_name522

Why would they start Timmy instead of maxi?our two bigs would help the defense in the paint and Timmy used all his powers last game, and why did lively not play as much?hopefully we get some consistency and build chemistry with luka kyrie and lively playing .

  21. ealjaks22

Desperate need of a comeback at the end of the third and we have a lineup of hardy kyrie grant djj maxi with kyrie playing second fiddle to hardy (the player with the lowest ts% in the league) what the fuck are we doing man

  22. this_is_a_name522

When luka came back kyrie and Tim went cold lol

  23. Complexity777

Looked like half the team didnt show up to play

  24. ThrowsAways1616

Punish that rookie who has clearly proven he isnt motivated enough and just isnt coachable enough. Sit him out the 3rd that will definitely teach him for his costly mistakes in the 2nd quarter. Kidd just got a thing for punishing players, media, and maybe even his wife. Cant blame it all on him though cause he did say he’s just the coach…

  25. samuel_el_jackson

Our defensive effort was atrocious. If we are only capable of winning when shooting well from deep we are going to be floating around .500- specially if we can’t get stops.

At least no one got hurt and Kleber looks healthy again.

  26. idkimhereforthememes

Offensively they just missed shots, not a big deal, but defensively they looked awful. They need to make a trade asap, whether it’s wiggins or someone else.

  27. whitefang0824

That is a straight up coaching malpractice 2nd half. As long as Jkidd is our coach, we ain’t doing shit.

  28. MoneyintheHank

Felt like we got out of rhythm and rotations when Kyrie got hurt, and then could never find it after that.

Luka had good stats but didn’t look 100% to me, especially on defense.

DJJ looked bad tonight, slow feet, dying on screens. Hopefully he can shake off the rust next game against GS, we will need him to chase Steph, especially if Green is out again.

Lively the bright spot, really don’t know why they didn’t play him more when we were bleeding layups left and right in the 3rd.

Bad THJ showed his face tonight. Guess we will have to give him a pass after last game.

Maxi looks okay. Trying but he’s just not as springy as he used to be. Can tell he’s back to being hesitant to shoot again too.

Let’s hope we see better effort on Friday.

  29. vlad_thegod

Tim goes from 41 pts to 0-7 on threes back to back.

  30. epitome1986

Question why is omax not getting any run? He didn’t even get run in garbage time

  31. jackaholicus

Some of you would be better off logging off
