The Boston Celtics defeated the San Antonio Spurs, 117-98 as they extend their franchise-best start at home to 20-0 and move to 32-9 on the season. The Celtics have won 27 straight games dating back to last season. Jayson Tatum (24 points), Jrue Holiday (22 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, season-high 6 3PT), and Jaylen Brown (21 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists) led the Celtics as Victor Wembanyama totaled 27 points and 5 rebounds for the Spurs. San Antonio moves to 7-33 on the year.
Wembanyama now has nine games of 25 or more points on the year, which leads all rookies. All other rookies combined have totaled 14 such games.

All the respect in the world to Wemby. I've watched a few of his games before he played the Celtics, he is for sure a star in the making(if not one already). Don't give up on him Spur fans.
Anyway I know the Spurs aren't a great team or anything like that. But I am sooo glad to see that the C's didn't over look the Spurs before playing the Nuggets. Which could have been very easy to do with the defending champs coming to town. Instead Boston beats down the Spurs. 20 and 0 baby! Celtics are just different at home, love watching this team play. Its amazing.

jaylen brown has been playing some really good ball lately. so has payton pritchard. and jrue has been much better as well. this team is just loaded man. it’s gonna be a huge disappointment if they still can’t get it done in may and behind.

Holmgren – shooting 52.7% overall and 46.3% on 3-pointers
Wembanyama – shooting 43.2% overall and 28.3% on 3-pointers
Holmgren is +55 so far to Wemby’s -60
It's not even close, but I wouldn't be surprised if the NBA gave Wemby the RotY seeing as they gave LeBron the MVP in the in-season tournament even when Anthony Davis destroyed LeBron in every stat during the final game.

Celtics having their best regular seasons in recent memory. I don't see Denver having it this year although unless some team manages to slow the celtics down and gets them out of whack and they can't adjust in a 7 game series. Anything is possible in today's nba. People like Pat Riley still exist who can throw a curveball at teams. Miami usually does. I more see it being Philly or the Bucks who could. Or some western conference team in the finals. I honestly expect this team to win it all this year. Games like this it looks like they are practicing even with Wemby out there. I'm tired of teams that get full of themselves and start listening to sportscenter too much and then Miami beats them. This team is too good for that.
