I think Murray will get dealt closer towards the deadline. I wonder what their asking price is. The most I would offer is Fournier, Grimes, Bucks 2025 top 3 pick. Id throw in a 2024 pick if they sent us back AJ Griffin

All I know is we better not trade for Alec Burks.

  2. Fournier, Grimes, and a pick. Make it happen asap

  3. There’s prob some salary implications that I’m not privy to that makes trading Fournier this season make sense. Still just looking at the short term, idk how spending assets to upgrade at the 2 makes sense considering what we pay DDV and Grimes and what value they give. Going for a guard in the draft for backup pg, bringing Rokas over, developing duece, or giving Malachi a shot for backup pg also makes more sense than giving up assets to get DJM.

We got Jalen Brunson out here willing us to wins because we have no scoring off the bench, but everyone wants Murray? Make it make sense. We need a microwave.

It started to look less likely when the report came out that a bunch of teams were pursuing him, so that’s sure to drive up the price. Part of the appeal was getting him at a bit of a discount.

I think you build around murray and trade trae to the lakers…. For d’angelo russel

He may be right, but Begley doesn’t know anything.

Knicks should see what it would take to pry Jalen Williams from OKC. That team is stacked with young players

All the reporting has said they just want to replace IQ’s role why is anyone surprised by this?

I’m liking this trade more and more if we can keep DDV for the bench squad

Mostly because Thibs will get the most outta Murray and we can also use him to get Mitchell next season, since he has 4 years left after this one which will be better than nothing for DM walking

i dunno why people want to get Murray so badly.. i think he’s an inefficient player going off his name recognition from his Spurs days..

I would opt for a cheaper bench option rn and wait for the off-season to see if Donovan or Mikal become available.

    three-way trade idea;

    knicks: rozier

    hornets: lavine, fournier

bulls: hayward, bridges, grimes, knicks 2024 1st via was, 2024 knicks 2nd via uta/cle, knicks 2025 2nd via bkn

Grimes, Fournier, the lower of NY / Mavs 24, and the Bucks 25 pick is the max I’d be comfortable with.

We get to keep one of the 24s to add some cost controlled depth, and still have the ability to trade all of our available unprotected picks (on top of the other 2 protected ones) in the summer if someone shakes loose.

I just don’t take what Begley says seriously he’s just a mouthpiece for negotiation through the media.

Is Murray a good fit? Randle and Brunson seem to play better without a 3rd primary scorer (RJ). How would Murray be any different?

    We need a bench scorer.

I think we should firmly be on the Bruce Brown hopium train
