Obviously there is no “correct path” but I love seeing a guy sit and see the league and gather himself before he really starts playing. Look at high picks like Beal, guy wasn’t even a full time starter right away, Shwedon Sharpe, Ant, Lamelo, and so on. Especially when you are raw and need to make big improvements with your game.
Some people are thrown into the fire and have no time to grow as keeping your head above water is difficult enough.
