He essentially said that the only player on the Washington Wizards who is considered “untouchable” is Bilal Coulibaly. Wizards already receiving calls on Kyle Kuzma and Tyus Jones.
This means the front office would be willing to part with guys like Corey Kispert and even Deni Avdija. How do you feel about this?

Kispert & Deni aren’t players that are going to take the Wizards anywhere.
But they’ll have trade value.
So trade them and start over.
How do I feel about this? LFG. Long overdue. If the right offer is on the table, make a move. Said it before that Bilal is the only guy who I believe will be here past the rebuild. Now is the time to identify other players currently not on the wizards to start filling in the longterm roster as well (and get draft capital.)
That’s exactly how it should be.
1. Everyone on the table.
2. Be willing to take any bad contract for the right price.
3. Be a nursing home for talented players in bad situations, and give them the ability to pad their stats only to be put back on the display window for interested teams so you can get more picks.
4. Play a fast paced zero defense style to maximize #3.

All the best players in future drafts are wings, forwards, and big men. Kispert and Deni are role players who you gladly trade if it gets you more swings in the upcoming drafts. If they don’t have Bilal-level upside then we don’t want them.
you know a new day has dawned for DC basketball when a player of kuzma’s ilk is no longer considered a foundational piece.

Makes sense.
Seems common sense that Bilal is untouchable as the first top 10 pick by the new regime. Young and full of potential. Seems insane to not include Deni into that as well. But to each their own 🤷♂️
