I am in no way a pistons fan but I can tell they were balling hard out there tonight, respect to them👍
They need to run more pick and roll with Kris and Giannis and work Dame in off of that. Defense looked better where there wasn't so many free lanes into the paint and shots were at least contested. I hate seeing Brook Lopez out near the three point line and they iso and get past their defender and there's no help at the rim. The highest percentage shot is at the rim so your first defensive priority is to protect the paint. We've seen some pretty goofy schemes this season that have not protected the paint. Not only failing to protect the paint but failing to position ourselves to rebound on the defensive side of the ball. That's why we lost 4 to Indiana. Hopefully they get better, obviously glad they didn't become Detroit's 5th win midway through the season, but it's not much of a victory to celebrate.
