– Wemby is much faster than bol bol. – Wemby’s movement off the ball is more elite than bol bol – Wemby’s defense impact as a rim protector is much greater than bol bol. – Wemby creates many advantages for other team mates
You cannot justify keeping bol bol on the floor because he does not impact greatly defensively and he’s not that versatile offensively. He doesn’t pass well. There is much more to half court offense than shooting or being tall which is where the comparisons come in. But from the off ball movement alone and playmaking there is no real comparison.

It’s understandable for people to say “let’s wait until we actually see him in the NBA” but anyone who publicly said “he’s Bol Bol 2.0” is just a dumbass plain and simple

The Bol Bol stuff was always so weird because he wasn’t some can’t miss prospect that just never worked out, he was a mid second round pick.
Clearly, the people that watched him a lot weren’t really sold on him.
He and Wemby are similar in that people watched highlights and got an impression of both people’s games that weren’t accurate, but besides that, they’re not nearly the same

From everything I have read it really comes down to BBIQ. Bol Bol just doesn’t have it. There are a ton of players that have extreme levels of athleticism sitting on the bench because they don’t get basketball. They coasted on athleticism till the edge it provided wasn’t good enough.
