Wolves Fastbreak: Late turnovers haunt Minnesota in loss to Thunder
Welcome to this Timberwolves fast break I’m Marne gner with Rebecca Brunson here at Target Center after the Oklahoma City Thunder come in and knock off the Timberwolves 10297 and a big switch of momentum in the fourth quarter but Minnesota throughout the game turned it over too many times tonight yeah Marty it started
In the first quarter when the Wolves gave up 14 points off their turnovers and then it just continued into the second quarter they gave up six they got it together in the third and really took care of the basketball didn’t give up any points off turnovers but then in the
Fourth quarter once they turn the Wolves kind of got control of this game they just turned it over a little bit too much eight points off of um their turnovers in the fourth quarter Randy give OKC some credit they do lead the league in steals they have active
Defense they have active hands they get in passing Lanes you know they crowd the paint and they make it tough for other teams and the Wolves unfortunately already have the issue of turning the basketball over and that definitely bit them in this one OKC only shot 40% though so the timberl
Did a nice job there defensively Minnesota shot 41% but over on the far right that is the biggest difference in the game points off turnovers the differential was 28 to8 tonight and Chris Finch said it pretty simply that yes the turnovers were the difference in this
One for defensively for the most part we did a good job I thought we played real well other than a lot of free throws um but you’re not you know you’re not beating good teams with 21 turnovers and particularly the way we turn it over
