Aging, but still good star alongside a younger MVP level player. Surrounding players are good, though their depth isn’t their strong suit. They are capped the hell out with limited assets moving forward and no cap space, so they’ll need to improve strictly through the draft or marginal trades to round out their roster.
This is literally the same scenario he had with the Clippers x2 and the Sixers, and they both completely underachieved, followed by firing him and getting immediately better. This should be a fucking fireable offense to hire Doc, unless he’s just a 1 year stop gap to regroup in the off season for a better coach.
