I’m not a huge fan of players like Embiid being considered for USA basketball. If they are opening the doors to non-US born citizens, there is a large majority of non-US born players that can play for team USA which feels it goes against the spirit of the Olympics.
Maybe there are more qualifiers to be eligible, or maybe the games themselves need to be less country specific (such as the NBA all star game moving away from conferences). Neither matters much to me, but if feels poorly lined up with the idea of the Olympics at this point.

They really tried to sneak Cam Johnson on there.

USA basketball don’t like being made fools of, with the names like LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant spots will be hard to come by for our 4 guys named

Anyone else in the UK buzzing to see our boys at the Olympics warm up games in London?

    PG – LeBron

    SG – KD

    SF – Tatum

    PF – AD

    C – Embiid

Like, I know 4 of those 5 guys are super hated on this sub, but goddamn is that a lineup. I don’t know how anyone could stop or score on them.

28 with 12 going leaves a pretty good chance. Except you know embiid, curry, lebron probably all locks.

Feel like all of the newer guys on the list could be cool, but they also will get time for another one.

I’d much rather see them play though and get some energy etc, versus some of the older guys.

Jalen Williams (Jdub) not making a top 41 list is crazy to me

  8. I’ll give it a shot:

    Guards: Steph, Trea, Kyrie
Wings: Jaylen, Tatum, Lebron, Butler, Durant, Kawhi
    Bigs: Bam, AD, Embiid

Completely stacked from top to bottom. I don’t even know if Jaylen makes it. I ended up with a decision that came down to White, Fox and Kyrie for the twelfth man and it’s tough to make those decisions. If Jaylen makes it, it’s by beating out Kawhi or Paul George

    I think it’d be:

Guards (3 spots) – Steph, Hali, Mitchell (sorry Fox and Harden)

Wings (6 spots) – JT JB Bron Durant Edwards PG13 (sorry Booker, Ingram, Paolo)

Bigs (3 spots) Embiid AD and Bam

12 spots is tough, I wish there was room for great connective role players like Jrue, White, Bane, Bridges, or Caruso.

Both Jays and Jrue and White. Nice list.

I kinda hate that Embiid is playing for us.

  13. Not that he’s gonna make the final 12, but seeing some of the names here, Marcus should’ve definitely be in this long list.

Embiid soft af not representing one of his first 2 countries lol

  15. Groundhog_fog

    PG – Steph, Halliburton, Brunson

    SG – White, Bridges

    SF – LeBron, Scottie, Kawhi

    PF – KD, AD

    C – Bam, Allen

I’d honestly go Cs starting lineup except Bam for Kristaps. Then basically the clippers starting line up plus AD, LeBron, and Allen
