Yeah good luck with that. I legitimately think it would be more likely we trade for LeBron than we trade Mitchell for some worthless Laker assets.

Three picks AND Austin Reaves??? Holy fuckkk what a steal Koby make the call! 🗣️📱⁉️

  3. Zee_WeeWee

I don’t believe a garland/mitchell plan will ever produce a ‘ship but there’s nothing on the lakers that will be any better for us so no thank you

Nothing gets my blood boiling like when the Cavs are involved in the yearly “How do we figure out a way to get someone else’s star to the Lakers” bullshit trade rumors.

Why the hell would the Cavs want a handful of crappy firsts and whatever mediocre role players they can scrounge together?

  5. Don’t they only have a single first round pick available to trade and it’s like in 2029?? They traded their 2027 with Westbrook to get DLo, Beasley, and Vanderbilt last year I believe.

“But guys, superstars belong in big markets, don’t you think someone like an Austin Reeves or Gabe Vincent is more your speed?” – Lakers Front Office, probably

  7. Dainish410

Koby is hanging up immediately. Donovan is an all NBA level stud right now

  8. trothwell55

This just in: lakers/knicks/heat may have potentially, at some point, discussed acquiring (insert star player in a small market) while giving up absolutely nothing of value. More after this message brought to you by draftkings.

  9. It’s always wild to me the difference in value picks are between the NBA and NFL

  10. I was all about trading Mitchell earlier on when the team was in flux, but there is not a chance in hell now (until the offseason if he doesn’t extend at least). Only teams that have the combination of young talent and picks to land Mitchell would be OKC, UTA, or HOU.

Lakers do not have anything close to acquire a star player, in their prime and will most likely settle on a player like Murray or Lavine.

That just sounds like Lebron wants to play with Donovan Mitchell. Lebron is coming back to Cavs confirmed. Lmao

  12. ADeleteriousEffect

The front office would have to be suicidal to make this trade.

LeBron comes back to us. We send them nothing.

  13. I wouldn’t even trade D-Mitch for LeBron at this point.

  14. Smilner69

I’m no geographist but Los Angeles seems farther from NY than Cleveland is

  15. AgonizingSquid

Mods can you just remove this, it’s not worth getting everyone all pissy over something with a negative percent chance of happening. The idea of this is embarrassing to be frank. We shouldn’t entertain the endless “Lakers give up a pick for all-nba player” bullshit speculation.

  16. thecameraman8078

I swear Don comes up in trade rumors more than Kevin Love

  17. thecameraman8078

If LeBron want to play with Mitchell he can come back home

  18. Choppybitz

This winter I’ll be taking your talent to Venice Beach.

  19. Beanie_Sigal

Don’t sleep on the fact Garland is a Clutch client. Bron like him day one and got him on the Cavs for a reason.

  20. CBrennen17

Lebron for Mitchell and some picks, who says no.

Giving Lebron the lob threats of Allen and Mobley and the spacing of Darius, Sammy, and even Caris would be dangerous. Like NBA finals or bust dangerous. Also I’d love for lebron to turn okoro into a Shump, or Caruso type.

But that’s not the point of the article or the point of any of these rumors. The Lakers are the golden child of the nba and the most successful franchise post bill russell so I get it. Creates clicks and engagement but honest to God why on gods green earth would we do that? Like seriously? The Knicks, the heat and the nets can make a better offer than Austin Reaves some picks and a few bench guys.

Like make up a better rumor jeezus christ

  21. jamminbearok427

Didn’t Kobe tell all y’all to lose his number in regards to Spida?

  22. Sure, Mitchell for Bron at the vet minimum. Makes sense.

  23. TheLandFanIn814

The Lakers really are the Yankees of the NBA. They just believe they are entitled to every star player in the league and teams are just going to hand them over.

  24. AllieOopClifton

They have literally nothing to trade for him. 39 y/o Bron is a worse player than Mitchell and they have no picks.

  25. NotAn0pinion

Obviously this is bullshit, at least the idea that we’re moving Donovan (I won’t speak for other teams). However I would like 3 conditional 1sts and 3 swaps with the Lakers. The condition is I want the first of these picks to be in the first year LeBron is no longer a Laker and then picks and swaps alternate each of the following five years. It’s basically how the current Celtics were built by abusing that idiot who owned the Nets for about an hour.

  26. seems like they might come up a bit short in that pursuit.

have they secretly retained the trade rights to Brandon Ingram or something?, lol.

  27. datgenericname

“Hey, you guys are in the middle of a successful season, but would you want to tank this season instead and trade one of your best players for some first-round draft picks?”

  28. Ok_Seat3972

The Lakers don’t have three picks to package together. They can only trade 1: either their pick in 2029 OR 2030. It gets annoying seeing these new sources propose trades with no idea of how any of it works
