Sixers TRADE Update – Kings Interested in Acquiring Tobias Harris | Sixers News

So according to Bleacher Report the kings are interested in acquiring Tobias Harris if the Sixers need a three team trade now this whole three team notion with a contract like tobias’s going out might immediately get people thinking about how they can spread assets and cap

Across two teams to get a star from one of them um action networks Matt Moore reported that the Kings would be getting Harris in a three- team deal that adds a star player to the Sixers however as we’ve talked about on this channel already myy and the Sixers seem a lot

More likely to upgrade around the edges than to add a star right now um as especially as Shams reported last week if we’re supposed to take his word at anything so that same Action Network piece actually had tus Jones as part of the plan but that was immediately nixed

By a source close to the Sixers organization so I think we can also say goodbye to the the possibility of a uh a tus Jones addition at the trade deadline now I like tus Jones a lot as a player I think his absence actually speaks a lot

To the grizzly struggles this year but if he was strictly going to be a backup point guard I don’t think he would have been worth the $14 million price tag anyhow and you also probably can’t have both him and Maxi out there together as your guards for the sake of defense and

Eyes now I want to talk about Tobias Harris’s value and uh what he’s worth on the market right now so he is on an expiring contract at a whopping $39 million and frankly teams aren’t going to like that value as Sixers fans we don’t really like that value we all know

That and uh teams yeah they’re they’re not going to be dying for that unless they’re desperately in need of an upgrade at the position so he’s 31 years old he’s only shot 40% from three in that 80 game stretch over two years when he was with Los Angeles and it doesn’t

Necessarily look like he’s getting any better as a player late in life uh his scoring volume is slightly up this year without Harden on the team but he’s actually down in three-point attempts and percentage at 35% on 3.5 attempts a game now I know that 5% difference

Between 35 and 40 sounds small but that’s kind of the difference between an average player and an elite player when you have that big of a sample size for threo shooting so why do the kings want to buyas hairs and how badly do they want

Him you know I think simply they need an upgrade from Harrison Barnes if they want to make any noise in that very loaded Western Conference his chunky salary is nowhere near his production output and it’s almost like a onethird scale down version of our current situation with Tobias um they’re also

Not going to get rid of Keegan Murray because he’s the one draft pick they’ve really hit on in the few uh in the last few years and of this generation of the team since f Fox was so long ago the they’re really going to ride him out as

Part of this really young core and I I can see why he’s really a great young player and can has a lot of room to improve um looking at their roster you also have Kevin herder who seemed to play himself out of the rotation in late

December uh but has been working his way back up and is at 24 minutes a game on the season and playing decently well again he’s raised his percentage up to near 36% on high volume despite the 24 minutes a game but that’s not the number we’re used to for Kevin herder we’re

Used to the 38 to 40 range so you know if if a team takes a flyer on him maybe it is a situation where he just has to be in a different environment to thrive and he shoots 42% on you know five threes a game off the bench for the

Sixers hey who would say no to that um they’re not going to get rid of Malik monk either because he’s their number one scoring guard Beyond dearen Fox and he’s a pretty easy Sixth Man of the Year candidate you know uh Davon Mitchell speaking of their guards has somehow

Played himself out of the rotation which I mean it guess it means his organizational stock is really low and you don’t have to give up anything for him really and frankly I don’t know if you guys have been watching the Kings on league pass the last couple years but I

Really like what I see from him as a backup point guard he has a great defensive awareness he’s very smart uh he’s athletic he’s a smart playmaker he can work on the shooting but he’s a legit good player but then you take a step back and it’s like okay so that’s

Ideal for maybe the third maybe the fourth piece in the Tobias Heritage trade you know we got to figure out the top end of that deal what would a Tobias Harris trade actually look like now Beyond this upcoming draft which they have one protected pick which might

Convey um the Kings have their own picks but how many of them would they be willing to give up for a Tobias Harris rental you know how when now are they really this is where I can see myy really entertaining offers because if we look at the basic salary matchup you

Know you’re looking at downgrading at the position to Harrison Barnes adding the streaky shooter and Kevin herder and getting another backup point guard and daveon Mitchell now the this win projection here has it at plus one for the Sixers but that’s not the deal we want for Tobias Harris it’s really all

About how many picks darl mury can possibly get on top of that you know um if I can just see myy really trying to see how high he can drive up the trade value for Harris and if the kings are that interested but they’re ALS o still

In win now mode and they don’t want to get rid of Malik Monk and they also want to keep their number one Prospect in Keegan all they can really do is give up every other draft pick and then put the swaps for the years in between and you

Know if Daryl Mory can get three four first round picks including swaps for an expiring Tobias Harris contract I know it’s not the most win now move but I think people would be pretty okay with that um but really I still wouldn’t do it the only way that you could get me to

Engage in a two- team trade with the Kings was if they gave up on Keegan Mo Keegan Murray or if Malik monk suddenly became available frankly Malik monk would be perfect he is a high volume scorer who can come off the bench and just run an offense on his own you know

Explode uh from three-point range once in a while and really be okay with taking backseat when the starters come back in and also have nights where he’s hot enough to leave him out there for the last three minutes of a close game I mean we saw how competitive the kings

Were with the Warriors in that Series last year and a large part of that was because of Malik monk so you know with those two scenarios seem like a stretch though right so for the sake of the Sixers success this year I would hope that they hold off on this round of

Tobias Harris offers if they’re dealing with the Kings because those are the situations we’ve talked about it’s either going to be those very marginal guys that you’re getting around the edges plus potential draft Capital maybe depending on the value of Harris right now or the Kings are going to be

Involved as a facilitator in a three- team deal and frankly as we said Tobias Harris for a real star I’m not sure I mean I’ll swap expiring if there’s a better expiring contract but if the three- team deal is how they get LaVine I’m absolutely saying no to that and as

I said I’m saying no to any two- team deal with the Kings for Tobias Harris unless you throw I mean there’s no way they’re throwing in fox or sabonis but unless you throw in Malik Monk on top of that salary matching in the picks or you

Throw in Keegan Murray on top of that um so that is that on that trade speculation and I think there should already be a video up on the channel if not very soon on embiid’s massive night last night against the Spurs I mean to put up 70 on basically the future face

Of big men in the league is so unbelievable and it’s just you know forget about furthering the campaign for his MVP he is just cementing his legacy in history and it so obviously check out that video on the channel if you haven’t subscribed go ahead and subscribe and I

Think I’m going to wrap up there as the construction noise here in Old City Philadelphia is starting to leak into my apartment uh time to sign off go Sixers

The Philidelphia 76ers have been involved in a bunch of reports leading into this year’s trade deadline. It has now been revealed that the Sacramento Kings are interested in acquiring Tobias Harris in a potential multi-team trade. Eddie Averill breaks it all down!

  1. Actually, a trade could work with the contracts:

    Kings: Harris

Atlanta: Barnes and Hueter, and pick compensation from Philly and maybe a 2nd from Sacramento (doesn't look like that Laker trade is going through)

    Hawks: Murray and Hunter

  2. Bro what are you talking bout that trade for Tobias Harris, Kevin hunter & Harrison, Barnes that’s what tf we need fr 💯

  3. I like Tobias, but there’s not a world where we’re getting a first round pick for him…let alone multiple firsts AND Murray. Pretty much just wasted my time with this garbage.

  4. Embiid already said he don't want the man traded. You gotta keep ya prize horse happy. They have a real chance this year, barring any injuries.

  5. Shouldn’t trade Tobias to a team that thinks they are contending. Also I don’t want draft picks for him we need something to help us now.

  6. If we can add a solid player to the team without giving up Tobias, Batum, Pat Bev tehn go for it. IMO Tobi is more valuable than anyone we could get mid season unless a legit star can be gotten

  7. lol ! Harris would never in a million years get 3 firsts for Harris ….. and to get Keegan you would be giving more than just Harris for ….. way overvaluing Tobias

  8. LISTEN AND LISTEN GOOD …Sixers are not trading Tobias and will resign him this off season

  9. Keep the team the way it is. If anything, trade for a Caruso, Olynk role player type. We finally got the vibes right so no need to rock the boat here. The ball will be in Maxey’s or Embiid’s hands. No Harden or Simmons to sabotage the team. This year feels different

  10. You simply can not trade Tobias at this point if you want to win a title because for starters he is Embiid best friend who already went on record saying he don’t want him traded but even more importantly is there has not been a championship winner ever who played with their chemistry mid season and traded their 3rd best player. You got to upgrade the bench or 4th option without trading Tobias, Batum, or Bev.

  11. I rate Tobias higher than most.I don't want to trade away Harris for picks. We have picks. More picks than we really can realistically use in an NBA rotation. What we need to do is Keep Tobias, or trade Tobais plus some of our picks for a younger upgrade to Tobias that will get a max. Mikal Birdges is the type of player I have in mind. A decent upgrade in the present and a big one moving forward. Birdges specifically isn't likely to happen, but that is the sort of perimeter player I would love to see the Sizers pursue, even if a slightly lesser version thereof.

  12. If sixers arent resigning Tobias then trade Tobias now & plus Tobias does not stretch the floor enough as a 3 point shooter so trade Tobias & picks for something for the future
