Instant trade reax to Heat acquiring Hornets’ Terry Rozier for Kyle Lowry, pick 🚨

The Hornets are trading guard Terry roier to the Miami Heat for a 2027 first round pick and Kyle Lowry that first round pick in the deal does include protections okay I’m sure we’ll be finding out about those protections but here we have Rosier who’s having an

Awesome year I mean we just talked about how great he played there in the fourth uh in a win over the Wolves last night he’s averaging 23.2 points per game six and a half assists basically four boards and he is making his way to the Miami

Heat task and it all it took was was Lowry who was uh coming off the bench wasn’t all that happy about that no and uh and that first round pick so that’s a had to be attached to Lowry there um we also have word from W that the Hornets

Have no immediate plans to work on a biot with Lowry and are expected to see if they can work another trade for him before the deadline so Lowry might be on the move maybe to a more of a contending team where he can come off a bench and

Help a team but anyway Terry Rosier going to Miami what do you think here first shocked but also pleased that rumors come true this was a rumor that we we’re going to talk about today is the Charlotte Hornets definitely a seller when it comes to this trade

Deadline just a mere two weeks away and the Miami Heat have been looking all season long for a potential scoring guard even in the preseason there was the Damen Lillard talk obviously and they’ve now added Terry Rosier who is a really good scorer that we talk about

Here on the show because the guy is definitely not talked about a lot when you go and talk about the Charlotte Hornets Lamela Ms talked about first and foremost and Rosier doesn’t get a lot of the credit but he is extremely good I I definitely wondered when Kyle Lowry went

To the bench for two games and and he said he wanted to get back into the starting lineup um what the heat were doing exactly because I can understand making Tyler hero a starter every single game this season and having Kyle Lowry beside him even though this is a really

Good defensive team it’s smaller it’s a smaller back court and Lowry gives it on the the defensive end but you may want to get a little bit larger but they just go with uh Terry Rosier who when I made when I went to uh to the trade machine

Today I was I was thinking that Terry Rosier would get there but he is also extremely small they’re extremely happy to have haime hakz with Butler and adab bio to add that size there uh and him being sort of Relentless as a rookie so those three guys are definitely going to

Play those will be the the the defensive guys there um but I guess you’ll see some other lineups I wonder if the heat are done is is basically what I’m saying um because Rosier probably will come off the bench and be your six-man lighting it up um on this team

If Tyler hero is starting which I understand because he want to change it up a little bit but uh Kyle getting you know a first round pick uh we have we have by the way the protections on that and it’s it’s not horrible W is saying that in the Rosier deal Miami’s first

Round pick is is Lottery protected in 2027 and then unprotected should it convey in 2028 so there is that so it’s a future pick there’s that um Terry’s gonna help is what it comes down to the guy can score and the guy can score on his own

And so that’s why I proom probably think he’s going to be their six man I think he’s going to light it out from the bench yeah and we talked about it before you know he’s he’s sort of been lost in Charlotte where they haven’t had a lot

Of success recently but he has played in playoff series before you know back in his Celtics days he’s been there has a lot of playoff uh experience so you know shouldn’t be shocked when the heat are in a playoff series and uh should be okay there also Lowry again we were

Coming into this show with the headline about this rumor I had in my notes here I’m pretty sure Miami is going to have to attach a first round pick with low to go and get someone like Rosier and that’s ended up what they had to do but

Low 38 years old in March he is in the I don’t know arguably the worst stretch of his heat career at least T when it comes to shooting I mean this guy guy Lowry one of my favorite players of all time the gro the greatest Raptor of all time

He was shooting 16.7% over his last five games he hadn’t hit a three-pointer in his last five games he was averaging two points per game I know it’s a small sample size but we’re talking some minutes too this are not five six minutes a game he was playing 25 minutes

A game so he had just been brutal for them not surprisingly they had lost their last three they lost to the wraps they lost to the Hawks they lost to the magic and yeah he was coming off the bench for a couple of those wasn’t didn’t seem all that excited about that

Then we saw was it last night oh Kyle Lowry on social media he stopped following all the Heat players uh oh he removed the heat thing from his bio so the writing was on the wall and he goes to uh Charlotte for now I don’t think

He’s going to be there long and uh I really like this move from the heat getting Terry Rosier some more scoring punch they need a better offense they ranked like 20th in the NBA and offense and that’s why they were so focused on getting someone rumored to be Damen

Lillard before before the season started because even though they made the NBA Finals uh Jimmy needs some help offensively and so I think Rosier makes a lot of sense I do wonder who that starting shooting guard is going to be if it will be just Hae hakz and Jimmy

Butler and Bam in front court and then Tyler hero alongside could it be Josh Richardson uh you know you’re like you’re like your 2011 Mavs that won it all they started Deshaun Stevenson at the shooting guard spot somebody who can play D but not necessarily play more than 20 minutes

Right um and then you can change it up and get Jason Terry in that case or Terry Rosier in this case to come off the bench to light it up because they are going to be a good defensive team I I always wondered about their size but I

Guess hakz is is going to be their starting power for it but he’s a little undersized I I don’t know I’m just thinking I’m thinking long term I’m thinking what this team becomes uh here with Terry Rosier but maybe they’re not done um or it’s Haywood heith they’ve

Got guys and obviously SP set Lowry yeah because he he wasn’t playing all that incredibly well no um offensively again he’s 38 soon I mean that’s old I mean and for a guy that plays the way he does as well uh maybe it’s caught up to him a

Little bit does he have a little bit left in the tank to help a contending team I think so but it would have to be sort of in a you know obviously as a vet guy on a bench in the locker room and then maybe changing the outcome of a

Quarter over a half in a playoff series but we’ll see where he lands and if he gets moved um but yeah I like the heat like this to me like they’re they’re like no this is still open in the East we still believe in any matchup we can

Beat a team in a seven game series we’ve done it before why not now and they’re adding more Talent here uh which is sort of cool to see you know and and it’s a it’s costing them a a future pick yeah which could be a decent pick you know

But they don’t they don’t care for that right now it’s right all about this this second it’s always all about that with the Miami Heat they always want to go for it but also Jimmy Butler has played hard for his NBA career he is 34 years

Of age he is getting a little bit older and I can understand why they’re sort of going for it right here right now yeah they’re trading Kyle Lowry somebody will put him in the Hall of Fame one day uh but it is unfortunate but this this this

Is when the Raptors traed him it was three years ago now you know almost almost three years ago this is the end of the his contract that Miami was willing to give him three years $90 million back then this is the 30 that he’s making this season but I do think

Yeah Charlotte will try and send him somewhere or make a little buyou deal with if they can’t get anything in return I would think so yeah but yeah there there’s somebody who’s going to want him as a backup guard we can think of lots of teams there’s all this talk

About the Knicks wanting to bring in a complimentary shooting type of guard Off the Bench you know a Jordan Clarkson or something like that but sometimes with that team they’ve got Jaylen Brenson they could use a kyar is all is all I’m thinking right now

Skeets and Tas react in real-time to news of the Miami Heat nearing a trade to acquire guard Terry Rozier from the Charlotte Hornets for Kyle Lowry and a future first-round pick.

  1. Legit just opened YouTube to see if you guys reacted to the trade LFG thank you πŸ”₯πŸ€πŸ™ŒπŸ»

  2. Ugh. I know this is basically a Raptor’s show, but I’ve never hated any professional athlete like I do Kyle Lowry. Hoping for a quick flip/buy out as a Hornets fan.

  3. I feel like Rozier us worth more than that hopefully they can get something for Lowry but I smell a buyout coming.

  4. Rozier will start, I think. There's no other guard Miami can start at that position. Richardson is not a starting guard. I think Rozier's offense makes it possible for Highsmith to make his way back into the starting lineup, or feasible for Jovic to stay in that lineup. And even though he's 6'1", he has a 6'9" wingspan. I really think this is going to be Goran Dragic 2.0.

Also, on Lowry, if you look past the counting stats, he was much better for Miami than he got credit for. Still a good help defender who hits his rotations and can hold his own on the switch on bigs.

  5. Also, some local Miami reporters said that Lowry unfollowing teammates was debunked. He had never followed those guys to begin with, and I guess there's an app that shows you who has been unfollowed as opposed to just looking on IG, and it didn't show him unfollowing teammates. If you look at his socials, he's not that active to begin with.

  6. Buyout and Kyle comes back to tutor IQ for the last half of the season??
(or ends up on a contender giving them a valuable few minutes and vet leadership)

  7. Pls send Lowry back to his Toronto home. We miss and need him behind the bench as an assistant πŸ™

  8. Yeah they didn't give up a pick for him to sit on the bench, could ser if it was a second, but it was a first round pick people, say less.

  9. Miami's guard rotation has been atrocious. Jrich experiment has been a disaster. Rozier is starting. Jacquez is still the 6th man for the time being.

  10. Rozier will start no matter what. Herro will probably be traded for a big or he will be the 6th man.

  11. It's a clear upgrade for the Heat. My concern… is it enough? They don't have any assets left. They only have one first that they can trade, either 2030 or 2031. Not great.

  12. I can see the Terry coming off the bench vision behind Tyler but that's not what's going to happen. He will start. We are looking for someone to unlock our big three. Straight up. That's what Miami's trying to do with Terry. It doesn't matter the defense so-called issue cuz Terry is way better than Kyle and Kyle started all kinds of games for us. So be it that Terry technically outscores all of our guys, More importantly also doubles the assists of any of our guys at the same time. Lol It just means he knows how to both score and distribute. That is his talent. That's what's going to make him a key that unlocks our big three. The real problem we've been having lately is they are clunky. I think this is going to be really good.

  13. Rozier is gonna fit in perfectly. He’ll no doubt be in the starting lineup and the Heat, who have had 20 different starting lineups this season will find a great spot for him. Spo brings out the best in players and Rozier will be no different.

  14. I wonder if Herro also gets moved. He and Rozier should both probably start, but they seem a bit redundant to me. I'd want more of a defensive minded wing if I were Miami.
