The FIBA experience by both Shai and Lu has helped their games tremendously.

SGAs defense goes unnoticed by non thunder fans, they only see the steal stat but there is so much more data that backs him being an all defensive level player this year

And that’s why Team Canada is back in the Olympics after 24 years.

  4. Is Lu Dort All Defense this year? How bout Shai?

Shai is All defensive 1st, putting it simple.and Over Dort just because Steals are the most important defensive stat in my humble opinion, the swing from taking away the opponent shot on that possesion, gaining ball back and usually having the defense not set because you catch them offguard is way more valuable than anything else on the defensive end.

Only thing to cherry pick with Shai’s defense, is that when he’s guarding the corner 3, he’s so good at anticipating the ball and creating steals or deflections, that sometimes leaves his man too much space, or has a hard time reaching the contest in time before the shot

Those shots allowed are almost always 3’s, which would not show up, or alter this stat since the Average on making threes is lower anyways
