All statistical methods of measuring a player eventually fall short. To me you have to look a t a man who won two college championships, an Olympic gold medal, and 11 NBA championships in 13 years. In all of those, except maybe the Olympics, he was the unquestioned leader of the team.
You can say that the league had less talent then but the talent that was there was not diluted among a lot of teams so the players that every team had the best of the best.
He is my GOAT and I’ve never wavered from that in 50 years of fandom.
