Jalen and Jock were actually solid for once, and Sengun continues to play great. Missing Tari and Jabari also hurts the team (Uncle Jeff is great but he ain’t a starter). But Dillon had some pretty weak defense tonight for some reason. Let his man get space multiple times, got cooked by Anfernee Simons. And some awful TOs from lazy passes. And in general bad 3 PT shooting continues to haunt us. FVV was struggling to shoot in the 4th and those empty trips down the stretch hurt.

It’s still a young, developing team. But being rested against a a B2B team on the road and losing is never a good look.

  2. Excellent-Cod-3430

Yup we need to trade Fred at the deadline for assets. Another wasted Sengun masterclass

  3. LilBottomText17

this is one of those losses that makes me wanna kms

  4. kookie2008

We need bari and tari back so bad. Their hustle/defense/rebounding is sorely needed

  5. RealPitstop

The game thread was actually crazy. Y’all can’t even be happy when Jalen has a good game and all y’all do is talk about what mistakes he makes. I don’t think I saw a single thing about that block in overtime. Cmon he’s been bad but like y’all can’t appreciate a good game?

  6. shameless_chicken

Games like this are the reason we are likely to not make the play in. Cannot drop games to teams like Blazers and Bulls and expect to hold off Steph Curry and surpass the Jazz

  7. KDs_FakeAccount

At least Jalen had a good game 🤷🏿‍♂️

  8. wgel1000

I don’t mind losing to good teams, but this loss is just extremely embarrassing.

Our defense has regressed immensely in the last month or so.

If after this humiliating loss our FO doesn’t realise that we need shooters and rebounders we can say goodbye to any chance to make the play-ins.

    Terrible.

  9. mesrepadam

Dillon is the best 3 pointer in the team. He should have played at ot.

  10. horeaheka

The last possession of the regulation, why keep FVV in there instead of Amen to offer a bigger defensive player

  11. Acceptable_Ganache51

Overtime was just weird. Mind boggling decisions by the players, I don’t think it was Ime.

And offense… Alp missed one shot in OT then we went away from him the next 2 possessions and the game is over.

Also just foul up 3 with 1.6 seconds left…..

  12. FVV has too much of a burden on this team. If his threes aren’t falling all his other weaknesses shine in situations where we need a bucket or defensive stop. Need another guard playmaker to take the load off

  13. Yugeky20

Letting them score 41 in the 3rd gave Portland the confidence to finish off the game.

Blew a 13pt lead against as a 12-win team after we had days of rest is not acceptable.

  14. dbanda87

We wasted an All-Time Jock performance, so disappointing.

  15. This loss is on Ime. Portland on a second night of a B2B and we couldn’t close that? Not fouling at the end of regulation when we were up 3 was so dumb. Not adjusting defensive coverages against Simons and maybe putting some length like Amen on him was stupid. Worst loss of the season!

  16. Dependent_Leave_4861

Hopefully they learned their lesson to foul

  17. fallenangel1789

Green was good. I like it. But we need simmons too lol.

  18. SeanSungASong

Sad that great performances by Jalen and Al-P were wasted by mistakes from the vets. Tough loss but we have wins to look forward to, especially with Jabari, Tari, and Amen in the mix.

Also the entitlement of this fanbase is disgusting sometimes. Some people in the game thread were happy we went to OT so Al-P could get 30 as if he wasn’t already playing spectacularly and there wasn’t win on the line. Some of y’all don’t deserve to be happy. Calling Jalen a bum and saying fuck you to our vets is deplorable behavior after Jalen’s performance tonight and all the past wins and development the vets have provided.

  19. Main-Performer-2607

We should have won this but god it sucks not having our PF rotation who happen to be our best defenders.

  20. lachdanan13

Be a good coach, Be a good vet, Be a good player, no matter what, Learn tactical fouling, thats all I’m gonna say, then we wouldnt have been forced to watch this shitty overtime… Wasted game from young core… A bad loss… with rookie mistakes from vets…

  21. Euphonious36

Masterclass on how to not close a game. Vets sold hard in the clutch, and the same defensive issues showed up from the perimeter.

This team needs to improve drastically. Get healthy, and move assets to get a few actual shooters on the team. Cannot afford to waste time

  22. RictheRoman

One more season after this of having to watch FVV chuck and not be a rim threat. Sengun needs the ball every play, point center it is

  23. Tales_of_Endurance

Fred killed our team today. Bad decision making from start to finish. His minutes are catching up to him.

We need Bari and Tari back asap. I will hold judgement until we are at full squad

  24. SubstantialCategory6

This was on Ime, FVV and DB in that order.

IME: Took too long to get starters back in 4Q, No gameplan for the zone, cutesy Boban sub/not fouling on the catch.

FVV: Too much hero ball, too early.

    DB: where were you?

Nice game from Jalen. Sengun needs the ball in the clutch more. AH with some good minutes.

    Best Jock minutes all year.

  25. AmberheardFan-

Jabari is irreplaceable is what I got from this game

  26. BowToTheTruth

This team is gonna be nice asf in the next 3-5 years man. You see it even in the bad games the potential is there they just need more time. Hope they can at least make the play in, they won’t get anywhere but playing in high stake games will only bolster their growth. This loss was terrible but the future is bright, we just gotta wait

  27. PeepDurpel

What is it with everyone missing shots off Alpi’s passes? One more FG made off a Sengun pass per game would get us like 5 more wins this season

  28. InnerExpert5374

this team is unsaveable, i feel sorry for Alp.

  29. amagrans

I’d much rather see Amen and Cam make mistakes than Fred and Aaron…

  30. I know we’re missing Tari and Bari but if your defence is contingent on not having 1-2 guys missing at times we have a problem.

Never mind that over the past month our defence has clearly declined. We cannot score and not defend either. Once we get past 120 points conceded it becomes so difficult to win.

  31. CloutBloke

Pathetic, so many decisions could have been made to not let the game go into OT, just throw the ball up in the air jfc. We can’t even capitalize on Jazz and Lakers losses against a terrible team.

  32. AyyyyyyyLemao

This team won’t make it to play ins. We are going to be 11th seed which is even worse. Not bad enough to get top pick, not good enough to be in play ins. So much for good defense. We have been one of the worst defense for the past 10+ games. Get this fucking season over with

  33. InnerExpert5374

Alp is paid the least amount in this team unbelievable.
