“The Nuggets made up ground on the top two teams in the Western Conference and improved to 31-14 on Tuesday in Indiana.

Here are 3 takeaways from Denver’s 114-109 victory:

    1. Chalk up another win for Denver’s two-man game. Peyton Watson’s 3-pointer with 8:27 left in the fourth quarter was the Nuggets’ final basket from a player other than Jamal Murray. The Nuggets closed the game out thanks to a couple of 3s, a pair of layups and a mid-range jumper from Jokic, who finished with 31 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists. His biggest basket was a 3-pointer from the top of the key that put Denver up five in the final 10 seconds. He made 13 of his 19 shots, including a 3-for-4 mark from 3 and made both of his free throws. Murray assisted a couple of Jokic’s late baskets, earned a goaltending call and hit a pair of timely free throws. He narrowly missed a triple-double with 31 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.”

3 takeaways by Vinny Benedetto are not paywalled for those who would like to read more.
