Kawhi’s been my favourite player, so it’s no surprise that I root for the Clippers.
2 years ago I had an insanely traumatic accident that put me in the ICU for a week, and general hospitalization for another 2 weeks. I couldn’t stand or move my arms, and was so depressed because all I could do is sit in bed. I vividly remember the news of the norman powell trade happen while I was hospitalized, and for 5 mins I was so happy that I forgot about my situation. I had some major health complications after getting discharged, but I told myself once it’s over, I have to go watch a Clips game before Kawhi retires.
2 years and 11 surgeries later, I was finally able to see 4 hall of famers in person and actually experience an NBA game. Was hectic because I needed to take a train at 6AM from Montreal, so I was exhausted as shit, but well worth it.
Good thing Kawhi got enough rest in the 4th to go against Boston tomorrow.
