I knew a guy who covered NBA in the early 00s and he said after about two weeks you get used to seeing all these guys naked. He said it’s the dumbest, weirdest thing ever but back then people still had deadlines to make for the paper so that’s why they did it. But now, come on, give them time to shower and change. They’re probably scared they’ll slip out the back or something dumb.

This is just bad team management. PR is supposed to set up a press room or area, figure out who the press want to talk to and let the players know to do a short post game.
Even on the road, it’s so easy to pop a screen behind a player/coach in the hallway and chat on camera.
