Someone clip the part where they said “first game is against Denver” and then doc says “yeah, real smart.”

  2. I freaking loved that his number 1 goal is to make people Fear the Deer again.

I also was happy that the first thing he did was go to Giannis and tell him what about Giannis’s game he hated coaching against the most. I hadn’t really internalized that Doc has a lot of experience coaching *against* Giannis, Khris, and Dame. That is potentially incredibly useful information to draw upon to start fixing this team.

It’s going to work out. I’m staying positive

    Loved some parts about this!
-Main goal to maximize Giannis and Dame while they play together
-At least one of the young guys will need to help, so they will be trained and incorporated to assist the main roster
-Defence needs tweaking but will happen with small adjustments (big adjustments at this time of year would be catastrophic)
-Team seems focused to do what has to be done to succeed
-Showing Giannis what other teams struggled with against him (because he isn’t doing that as much this year)

Fuck it, let him prove that he isn’t 3-1 choker! Bi6

My confidence soared after hearing him talk.

It was interesting that he also said “one of the two” in reference to (Marjon and Ajax) would have to play a bigger role on the team. Which one of those two does he have his eye on? I’m going with Ajax, although I really want Marjon to succeed.

This is gonna be a work in progress for everybody involved but it sounds like Doc will be approaching it the right way.

Don’t care how many 3-1 series docs teams have blown. If you actually watch the bucks you should be thrilled with this hire compared to what griffin was doing.

Short of only playing giannis and dame 10 minutes per game I don’t think there is more a coach can do to actively lose games.

For those deeper in the Doc lore, what was he referencing when he complained about something giannis did against his teams that he “didn’t find funny”?

Doc is a good coach, there is no denying that. Stars (usually) like playing for him. It’s his playoff record and inability to adjust that’s concerning so anything he says in this presser is just flat out not relevant.
