MONTY HATES IVEY! PISTONS FALL TO WIZARDS 118-104! ALL BENCH UNIT GIVES UP 20-5 RUN! CADE 20,12,7TO!
[Applause] Welcome to the Piston fanatic I am your host Dave Dalton and I’m excited to share my passion and perspective of our Detroit Pistons as we go on this Fantastic Voyage together I’ve been a Die Hard piston fan since the days of Dave Bing and Bob laner I’ve also been
The varsity basketball coach of a very successful program in northern Michigan I want to thank you so much for listening please Subs cribe the more subscribers I get the more YouTube exposes my podcast so I the more listeners I can get so thank you very much for subscribing well we lost one
That we needed to win today Jade said that we really needed to win it after the game and but we fell to the Washington Wizards 118 to 104 and I was so excited we got off to a great start and we started Cade Ivy Duran Bogi and
Stu and they hardly got to start start together that group I just ass soon to see assar start instead of Stu and have to see what that lineup can do but um anyway we got off to a great start 28 to 16 we were ahead and then Monty does it
He Subs in five bench guys that can’t score he had Killian Burks Morris muscala and assar in there and Killian is complete n score Burks was really bad today shooting he was two for n Morris was 0 for four muscala was 0 for four and assar who only got to play 17
Minutes today was four for six so that makes a difference in the game and what happens the Wizards go on a 20 to five run and so coaching matters and substitution patterns matter and also the fact that Monty Williams hates Jaden iy and I’ve talked about this repeatedly
Some of you don’t like that I say it but you know he looks for every reason it might not be pure hatred but he it may be just the way he plays that he bothers him so Jaden iy starts out the game he’s three for three two for two on threes
And he plays 11 minutes in the first half he he takes him out with six minutes left in the first quarter then he puts him in with I don’t know how much time left six or eight minutes left in the second quarter but he takes him
Back out with three minutes left in the second quarter and he’s he’s on fire he can’t play better he had one turnover but he just looks for reasons to take him out he just looks for reasons to take him out even whether he’s playing good or bad my contention is He’s Got
Talent more Talent than other guys that we play and we’ve got to find out we got to find out what this this year who you know he’s one of the most talented guys so he’s got to play through mistakes not that you just run him out there if he’s
Just doing terrible but still it it’s ridiculous that there just he just grinds him he just Monty and it happened again at the end of the game three minutes left and Monty takes him out out you know and and after the game was close the game was close when there it
Was 107 to um 101 or something and then he takes him out and then we get killed the rest of the game and but he’s just looking for a reason I was what 3 minutes and 27 seconds we were behind 107 101 iy went out we lost the game 118
To 104 and you know he got trapped once he he dribbled the ball to the Baseline and nobody came to help nobody came to bail him out nobody was open and everybody just stood like 50 feet away from him but then he’s the one that gets
Benched and we put in Kyle uh K not kma he’s for the other team Kevin Knox and Knox has not played great lately he’s been struggling and you know he’s not a great player so anyway it just is real frustrating that we lost the game and
You know games can be lost in the second quarter games can be lost in a five minute stretch you know when when the other team when you put in a a lineup that you is going to get outscored 20 to5 and it happens good lineups can get
Outscored but you look at Killian can’t score Burks can score but he was colder than ice Morris is is just coming back his second game back he’s not a scorer he over four muscala and you know everybody’s excited about mcalla and he’s gonna make this big difference
Because he can spread space the floor and he can maybe but he was 0 for four today and he was one for four on threes the last game and he’s shooting 27% on the year so I like the way he plays I like how hard he plays is a smart player
But it just you can’t you need to stagger I talked about this other teams do it it can be done easily Monty Williams you can play iy the first six minutes then play Cade eight minutes into the quarter and then take Kade out and then Ivy sits out
Four minutes and you sit out Kade and then anyway it can happen other teams do it all the time they’re they Stager their lineups especially when you have no bench we got all our players black so there’s you know the injury excuse is gone but we we’re playing at home
Against wizard it’s unfortunate Cade and there are a whole bunch of reasons we lost this game a big one was Kade turned the ball over seven times I think he turned it over five times in the second quarter which was real hurtful but we were still ahead by one point at
Halftime with the same old Bugaboo at the end of the games boogi was on fire bogy was just smoking he ended up with 30 but he he missed his last five shots and this is happened in other games I don’t know if he’s tired and I think
Sometimes he tries to win the game for us so he takes tougher shots that are out of rhythm and not as open and anyway he he missed his last five shots everybody starts like forcing it including Cade and trying to score one-on-one and so it just is tough it’s
Really tough and I I still say that you know ivy needs to play so he you know he he plays 26 minutes and he he needs to play 32 minutes and he needs to even if he struggles sometimes because we don’t have other guys I know I took a lot of
Heat I took a lot of heat my last podcast oh by the way I do not mind if you disagree with me it’s no big deal everybody has opinions I’m just one person sharing an opinion and I have a podcast and you don’t which is not doesn’t make me anything anybody can do
A podcast if they want so anybody can share their opinion it doesn’t make anybody smarter but uh you know Killian some people were mad you know we won the game well you know what we did win the game and I’m thrilled that we won the
Game and I just will say though that you know what what was a bigger accomplishment and I I talk about this all the time as a high school coach that that I I said the kids my players you know especially like Junior High kids they would rather um win a game by one
Point against the worst team in the world then lose a game by one point against the best team in the world well like for example we we went to the to Boston where they hadn’t lost a home game all year and we played the Celtics
We had a nice lead and but we lost it in overtime and then we play the Hornets who are not very good and we beat them and on Wednesday I think and and they scored 14 points in the fourth quarter maybe part of that was our defense but
Part of it was they’re not consistently very good and so you know it just it’s doesn’t always justify things just because you won doesn’t mean that it’s right and even if you lost you could even play really well but it just as frustrating that we don’t stagger our
Starters it’s frustrating that Ivy plays only 26 minutes and he only plays 11 minutes in the first half when he’s three for three and two for two on threes and playing well and he he’s not doing anything wrong he’s not turning it over and then he but Monty looks for a
Reason he wants a reason to take him out because he has not liked him since day one he’s been showing him and and he’s had where he’s played him hardly 20 minutes and anytime he looks to make a mistake Kade turns it over five times
And I love Kade I don’t want Kade to come come out of the game but he turns it over five times in the second quarter and K gets to stay in there but he jerks Ivy out and so I just you know if you thinks he made a mistake and he’s just
Like looking for iy’s mistakes and you know he loves killing but again you know people can say killing but this is a scoring League teams are scoring it it takes like one 120 points typically almost to win a game in the NBA nowadays so you cannot afford to have guys out
There that can’t score so you can’t possibly run out a lineup like Monty Williams does did today with Killian Burks Morris muscala and and assar and again assar was four for six but those other guys couldn’t couldn’t put the ball in the basket and they’re not
Scorers and so you can’t even have so beef Stu he is a really good player he plays good for us and he plays really hard tough um kusma really worked him over today you know Stu did a fabulous job guarding Giannis who is better than
Kusma but kusma kind of had his number a little bit today but Stu’s not a scorer so he Stu scored played 32 minutes with three for seven scored 11 points that’s a good game and he he does all these other things he does he’s usually a good
Defender he rebounds and he plays tough but um you can’t have a whole bunch of guys out there you can’t that’s what we were doing all year where when you can’t when you got to score 120 points you can’t go out there and have Killian and
Assar and you know and J Duran’s hardly takes any shots in a game he’s really efficient he scores some but you know you just can’t have all these guys that are non scores and Killian is the big biggest non scor so for those of you that haven’t heard this I said this
Quite a while back so there might be some new listeners for Killian’s career he has shot 41% from the floor overall 28% on threes he’s done this for four years he’s done it every year it’s almost exactly the same every year he has the wor worst effective field goal
Percentage of players who have started half their team’s games that they’ve played in in the last 10 years that’s Killian Hayes and and we been starting him and we have to always play him and and know then we have iy iy you know he’s struggled some he he’s not
Consistent he needs we need to find out he’s 21 years old Killian’s only 22 so I feel bad for him but but um Ivy since Kate was out he had a stretch where he had averaged 22 points a game six assists five rebounds 1.2 blocks and 46%
Shooting and you know he’s not shot the three well you know today he was he he ended up two for four three I think but he uh yeah he ended up two for three he made his first two but he the first 19 games this year he was shooting 37% on
Threes and 81% on free throws and then I know it’s making excuses for him but he has gone to the bench he gets benched he has to think every time he goes out there and then he even when he’s on fire like today and then he comes out and he
Has to go back and sit down and what goes on in your head you’re a person you’re not a robot and you can think you can say well he needs to be tough but when it happens game after game from the beginning of the Season you know Monty’s
Tough love trying to show him and teach him how to play you know it just doesn’t work another thing you know Monty Williams what really stinks is the Bucks wanteded Monty Williams or not I don’t know if they would have hired him they wanted to interview him but he what his
Wife had the double masectomy so they weren’t interested in but Monty wanted to take the year off so I don’t know if everybody knows why Monty wanted to take the year off the Phoenix Sons still owed Monty $21 million over three years so Monty could have spent this year in the
Next two years and not worked and made $21 million and so that’s why partway why he didn’t want to come back and then gors keep offering more and more money and how are you going to say no to $80 million for the next that you’re guaranteed no matter how bad you do over
The next six years and so I mean that’s you know generational money for his family so his family his families his kids kids and their kids kids kids are all set financially because Monty Williams has that money guaranteed to him but anyway like I said I don’t hate
Killing him but I just and you’re G we’re going to talk about it right now everybody can’t play Monte we now all of a sudden now we got Morris and Burks and Killian and Sasser didn’t even play today and then ivy only plays 26 minutes and Kate plays 35 minutes so there’s not
Minutes for every guard somebody’s got to sit out and I I knew this was going to be a problem before the season started I I actually felt sorry for Monty at the beginning of the season because I said he can’t possibly play all these guys and you know we got to
See Begley Begley played good tonight and I I think we got our hopes up for mcalla I still hope that he’s I mean I know M’s going to play him because M likes him and so I think that he’s going to you know but he hasn’t been a good
Player he’s not he has no athleticism he has no lateral movement and he tries hard he plays smart and he shot good the first game and maybe the second game but now he’s been cold and he doesn’t get a lot of shots but and he still didn’t
Even play that many minutes but it’s just that just hard it’s hard we got killed on the boards we just got beat up on the boards and so so again you got that that group that came in in the uh end of the first quarter that I talked
About that had no scorers they also have nobody to could play defense except thear and they have uh nobody that can rebound you know mcalla is not a big tough rebounder he’s limited and then you know Burks is not a rebounder Killian’s not a rebounder so anyway and
It’s just tough Monte Morris is not a rebounder so it’s just natural that we’re going to get killed on the board so um Killian I I mean tonight bogie was red hot and except again he he he ended up 10 for1 19 in 36 minutes but he missed down the
Stretch and he’s had other games like this and I’m not criticizing him he’s our best option and so when he everybody Kade Kade recognized that Kade said there was too much one-on-one including you him Kade Kade was playing too much one-on-one nobody was trusting each other everybody wanted to win the game
For the team everybody when they finally got to touch it they um they forced they went one-on-one and tried to score instead of trying to you know play off each other and get each other open shot so but he was 10 for 19 four for 10 on
Threes he was red hot in the first half though he was he made almost every shot and um he was six for seven on free throws three rebounds three assists and one steal so he had 30 30 points he had a good game and you know he was he’s a
Great player and we should have maybe maybe got him the ball more so another thing that hurt us is ky kuso was tough today he was hot and like I said Ste had a hard time handling but so did everybody else but he missed a lot of
Shots he he was 13 for 27 so he was little just below 5 50% he was three for 13 on threes and he still got 30 on us but that’s because we couldn’t score down the stretch and this been a problem all year and I thought that if we had
The right lineup in there that it would um be better but the last three minutes we had C knocks in there we had take Jade and I be out so anyway am I excited about that yeah I am so St again good game he’s just salad stew 32 minutes
Three for seven not great not bad 0 for two on threes five for six and free throws seven rebounds two assists one steal 11 points so that again you can’t have too many guys out there that can’t score it was a big deal that the announcers made a big deal of the fact
That the Pistons had all five starters and double figures which we don’t usually ever have that so uh during 36 minutes he was five for six so he made two really good moves he made this reverse pivot spin move that was awesome man that you just again we just are
Seeing the tip of the iceberg with him he’s just gota he’s just got to play and do different things and figure out what he can do and what he can’t do and get better at the things he can’t do but he you know he hardly shoots he plays out
There 36 minutes so he’s really a non scorer he just scores near the basketball 18 rebounds and we got beat on the board tonight we got out rebounded by five rebounds but not because of durren he had 18 so he had three assists and only one turnover
Which is awesome and 10 points so great game for JD um Cade was 35 minutes he goes in the first quarter and he is spectacular I was so excited about this team the first quarter like I said we jumped out to a eight 28 to 16 lead and
We were just clicking and guys were Kate had a left-handed dunk and Duren had some dunks and Ivy hit the three and Kate hit the three and bogie was making shots and we looked like here we go you know the rest of the year I’m so excited
This team you know I still think that we do have chances but again you just you just got to be coached the right way you just got to have somebody figure out a substitution pattern that doesn’t handicap your team and so you know like again you you can lose the game in the
Second quarter you can lose the game in the first quarter but most people just talk about the end which is again we were bad at the end so anyway Cade was seven for 17 he was red hot in the first quarter but then he really cooled off he
Still he was two for three on threes but one of us um threes was just before the half where he came down and real fast and pulled up and hit a three at the buzzer so four for six on free throws and he had four rebounds 12 assists
Which would be phenomenal except that he had seven turnovers and so he certainly deserves part of the blame for us losing the game and those turnovers just hurt us he just just drives into traffic and doesn’t have an outlet and then it ends up hurting us so um but it was great to
Have him back he had 20 points still and Ivy though 26 minutes four for eight so he’s four for eight but two of his misses were crashing the offensive boards and trying to tip the ball in so those count for shots so they count if
You make it so you know if he wasn’t for those tippins he was four for six and he he missed a floater I know and maybe a mid-range jumper but he had four rebounds one assist two blocks three turnovers 10 points and he had he was
Plus one he had like the best plus minus on the team but again Monte I’m a broken record Monty looks for reason to take him out assar four for six we’re struggling we got all these bench guys I again scalla 0 for four Morris 0 for four Burks two
For n Knox one for three and he’s four for six and he’s his his value goes so far much more Beyond scoring that is not where he’s valuable but he’s four for six today and he plays 17 minutes there was a play that he made I should have talked
About this earlier but they um somebody who was throwing a bounce pass from quite far away and it was like no player hardly any player in the league would have got this the ball’s way down like he picks it up right off the floor he has to go a long ways to
Get there gets his hand down by the floor and deflects the bounce pass pops it up Ball’s going out of bounds and he jumped out of bounds and flipped the ball to a teammate and got the steal and I just was tell you this Ivy and assar
Are two of the best athletes they are Elite and to if we can have those two guys on the court at the same time it would be magnificent but I just want to tell you one of my listeners was uh critical about so where did you come up
With the core for you know is that is that just something said you made up but I well I’ve heard other people say it I have been saying it for a long time I have been saying that that’s the number one priority is the core for and he said
Who am I I’m nobody but I just know that those are the four guys who are the most talented they were all high picks they’ve all shown that they had are have lots of potential which potential doesn’t mean you’re going to be great but so here’s the thing I say they’re
The priority and injuries have certainly played a big role in this but the core four have played 60 minutes together this year 60 minutes out of the whole season we’ve played I’m not counting tonight’s game we played 2,112 minutes in the core for out of that time they’ve
Been on the court together is only 60 minutes that’s 2% of all the minutes played is our core 4 which is probably our future or hopefully or whatever you want to say and they’ve played 2% of the game time together and so who makes that decision Monty
Williams who decides who gets to play together and they don’t fit perfectly together but if they’re out there and they need to be out there with bogey so they played a minute together tonight but it wasn’t with bogy out there and so you know to have that one shooter out
There makes a difference so uh assar had was 0 for two on free throws and two rebounds one steal two blocks and one turnover and he had eight points muscala again I talked about him 12 minutes only but 0 for four over for three on threes people do try to guard him more
So he does stretch the floor more than even Stewart who’s shooting 38% but there’s a difference people know mcal has a reputation for being able to make threes and St they just lay off him just like they don’t even guard Killian um so he was um had one rebound
Two fouls zero points uh Morris he was fantastic in his 11 minutes the first game game he only played eight minutes today but he was 0 for four 0 for two on threes one for two from the line so that’s a struggle and I mean he hasn’t
Played again since last March so he kind of maybe his adrenaline kicked in in the first game that he came back on Wednesday but he struggled today and it’s hard because again there there’s you got to decide you can’t just keep on playing I mean I wouldn’t even play we
We play like 11 guys and it’s hard and especially the guards Sasser didn’t even get to play today and you know is are we going to resign Killian here’s another thing though that that’s tough though we need to play Monty Morris because we need to deciding you
Know we don’t even know by the end of the year if if Monte Morris and Burks we think somebody said well we’re thinking about P are thinking about resigning them they’re going to have other people that are interested in them when we always we always had like Cojo and hamdu
And even Begley we we’re nobody else wanted to sign them so we we would they would their contract would go up they would be free to sign with anybody and nobody would sign them and then we would resign coo and hamy and Rody McGruder and those guys but these guys are
Different uh Monty Morris and is is a real player and so is um Burks and so there’s going to be teams there’s going to be demand for them and you know we got to decide you know if we if there we want to keep them but we there’s no
Guarantee even if we want to keep them they might want to go to a different team that’s better or offers the more money so that that’s just something that we have to find out but again we you know you don’t can’t blame just one person like I said Bogi was kept us in
The game we wouldn’t have been in the game without bogie but he missed five in a row down the stretch Burks you know we’ve won some games a few lately because Burks was hot but he’s two for nine and one for five on threes and so when he only played 18 minutes but
That’s you know he scored eight points was minus 11 but he you know has to play better for us to win I think so Killian played only nine minutes he was one for two um no threes no free throws one rebound zero assists two turnovers so and it’s hard he only
Played nine minutes and go out there they put him in at the end of the game in the fourth quarter to give Kate a short little break and he turned it over right away but he doesn’t usually turn it over so anyway we shot 44% they shot
45% we shot we were only nine for 32 on threes and so you know if you take away bogy was 4 for 10 and Cade and Ivy were both two for three and everybody else was either 0 for two or one for five or you know they they couldn’t make one so
Uh we were 21 for 27 on free throws they were 17 for 21 and but we got out rebounded by five we had 17 turnovers which was killer and the um turnovers points off turnovers were 13 to 21 they had 21 points off our turnovers and that we had 13 off theirs
Points in the paint we got destroyed um 64 to 44 and fast break points we got destroyed which we should be a fast breaking team 20 to six so um anyway another news NBA news uh rex cenum that was with the Pistons last year he signed
On to Doc with Doc River staff at with the Bucks and so he’ll be there and um you know the NBA is is this the scoring is way up and so last night Luca had 73 and but it’s fascinating that in less than a week and beid had 70 Luca
Had 73 towns had 62 and Booker had 62 that’s just in less than a week and seven um Luca became the 10th player in NBA history to score 70 or more and four of those have been in the last for the last year so that’s why it’s it’s a
Scoring League that’s why it’s just really hard to have players too many players out there at the same time you know like Killian that can’t score you know they he he tries hard on defense he’s not he’s average or just around average and but he he passes and hasn’t
Been turning it over at all this year but when you have a a guy that can’t score it it just makes it tough so little bit about Lavine you know lavine’s injury history people still he’s still the one Pistons are about the only team that’s rumored to be
Interested in LaVine and again I would never trade ivy for him in a million years and except I guess if Monty’s gonna be the coach and he’s gonna just never play him I guess we’re better off getting anybody for him except LaVine because LaVine has owed a lot of money
Over the next four years and he’s he’s been injured a bunch this year and it’s not even his he has a bad knee and knees are just a scary thing that are always getting reinjured and Lavine not a great defender so um people have talked about Wiggins and Moody for Burks and Boogie
And some other things but um problem with Wiggins is he’s what we need except he’s been ter bad this year he’s struggled real bad when he was the number one player picked he’s a freak athlete his mom was an Olympic sprinter his dad played in the NBA and and was an NBA player
So people question his desire and he didn’t come out shows usually no emotion but he fit in really good with the Warriors helped him win some championships and he but he last year his dad got real ill Mitchell Wiggins was NBA player and he missed like a
Whole part bunch of the season and now since he’s came back this year he’s really struggled so you just don’t know what’s going on in his head if he can get things turned around last thing we going to talk about is Steph Curry was talking about um having a Three-Point
Contest so Sabrina uh the plays for the New York Liberty and she is fabulous and she has the record for the most points scored in the Three-Point Contest she did against WNBA but it’s the same length the ball is a little bit smaller for you guys but their hands are
A lot smaller but uh she K Steph talked about possibly at the NBA All-Star Game having a Three-Point Contest with him going up against her so anyway we play right back at it tomorrow against when the best teams in the NBA the Oklahoma City Thunder that’s loaded and they didn’t play they’re not
Playing back to back and we’re coming off going to be coming off a back to back and they they are loaded so we’ll see what happens but again please subscribe thank you so much for listening be the reason that someone feels heard and thought of and go Pistons
Monty continues to bench Ivey even when he’s hot! Monty’s substitution patterns continue to contribute to teams struggles! Bogey on fire scores 30! Cade scores 20 points, 12 assists but has 7 of teams 17 turnovers!

Coach thinks Ivey should handle the ball more and should handle the ball more whenever Cade sits. They for sure need to try it more. Even when Cade was injured they would have Bogey or Killian bring the ball up too much instead of having Ivey bring the ball up. Ivey puts pressure on the defense and opens things up for other players.
The Core Four have only played 60 minutes together! Wow! Great point. The Core Four have only played 2% of our minutes together. Great point coach! They need to be given a chance to gel together! Let's see what Cade, Ivey, Ausar, and Duren can do together along with a great shooter like Bogey!!!
I love how you break down the game so refreshing to hear someone know what they talking about
We both liked Cam Whitmore i remember hes tearing up with rockets we missed on him needed offense guy hes 18 huge miss. Also Sasser was also luxury pick tons of talent at forward was there all tbrough draft.
Killian is out the door. So happy when he's playing for a fanbase who wants him
Monty seems to hate Ivey and love Hayes 😂
maybe the Pistons are trying to showcase guys they could potentially trade
(as an explanation to why he's not playing Ivey)
I watched the game pretty much end-to-end, one glaring issue being overlooked is the lack of entertainment value whenever Killian is force fed. Ivey is more watchable than Hayes due to greater skill level and athleticism. There is really no point in tanking because the lottery is a hindrance positionally wise and the One-and-Done concept provides literally zero guarantees.
Please fire Monty Willams
6-76
Monty Williams will ruin all of these players careers they gotta fire him it’s obvious he does things adverse to winning
Monty got the bag and from day one he’s been trying to get fired. But what is Gores doing? He’s allowing Monty to destroy the morale of these young kids. Cut your losses, it’s $80 million you’re a billionaire, just raise the cost of inmates phone calls some more you piece of scum, what are we doing here?
near the end of the podcast, you mention you don't want to trade Levine for Ivey even if Monty doesn't play him
and maybe you're completely warranted in your complaints about that (and it wouldn't surprize me if you're absolutely right about it)
but from basketball reference, it says Ivey has played 40 games (maybe not updated with tonights game yet, I dunno) out of 45 games
and he's averaged 26.5 minutes per game
it's not like he's getting 8mpg, 10 mpg, 13 mpg
Tyrese Maxey is playing the most mpg in the league at 37.5 mpg
if you would want Ivey to play 35 mpg, he's still playing over 5/7ths of what you'd hope he'd get
Cade is playing 34.5 mpg, which is the 28th most played
some players who are playing less minutes than Cade
Paul George
Pascal Siakam (notable as a Raptor's fan, I think last year he played a lot more mpg)
Shai
Lebron
OG Anunoby (notable for a Raptor's fan)
Jaylen Brown
Tyrese Haliburton
Karl Anthony Towns
MVP Candidates
Joel Embiid
Nikola Jokic (he's getting less minutes than Nikola Vucevic even)
————–
Jaden Ivey is the 118th most played player in the league
————-
ahead of your potential trade target
Andrew Wiggins
interestingly enough Scoot Henderson is the 117th most played player 26.6 mpg to Ivey's 26.5 mpg
a couple names below Ivey:
Josh Green of Dallas
Jalen Suggs of Orlando
Alex Caruso
Buddy Hield
Gary Trent Jr (notable for a Raptor's fan)
Isaac Okoro
Terrance Mann
Josh Giddey
Huerter
Kuminga
and more
Monty doesn't hate Ivey.
Monty needs to be fired… he can't coach worth a damn !
With all due respect coach. You blaming Coach Monty for Ivey's situation. The real problem with Ivey is not the coach. It's Cade Cunningham. Cade and Ivey don't work well together. Really, Cade donomates the ball so much that Ivey's game and rhythm is totally thrown off.
It's not working between those two. I would sub out Ivey also as Cade reduces Ivey to a 4th or 5th option.
Tom just take the lost fire Monty he’s going to ruin the team
hates Wiseman too, obviously.
Fire Monty and trade Killian yesterday
Cade turns the ball over cuz he plays like molasses. Dribbles out half the shot clock, defense is set, and no second chance opportunity. Great individual players, really difficult to win and building around.
Ivey -1
Cade -2
Bojan – 3
Ausar – 4
Duren – 5
For the love of god, start this line up
Stew is back up 5
The issue is the NBA and that outdated draft lottery – There is really no point in tanking because the lottery is a hindrance positionally wise and the One-and-Done concept provides literally zero guarantees.
The situation is clearly obvious the Pistons have been the worst team for several years, if they are the 5th pick in 2024, I would literally $hit my pants.
