Scottie Barnes in first half: 5/2/5 – 25%. Finished with 24/4/8 and 8/8 from the FT line.

Barnes game winning buzzer beater is only imminent. Best 4Q player in the league

He needs to start doing it for more than a quarter of he wants to take that star leap

This is a really weird trend and it seems like there’s no rhyme or reason to it. He can’t be the star on this team if that poor habit isn’t broken.

  3. He is great in the second half usually. Glad he was better there tonight.

He really needs to play two halves. This pattern is honestly frustrating at this point

  5. When he starts playing full games the team starts winning. That the setup of the new raptors.

The most annoying trend, Jordan Nwora isn’t always gonna look like this, he needs to start playing the whole game.

It’s simple. He defers to his teammates for the first 3 and then takes over on the 4th. He’s very consistent at it so you know that he knows what he’s doing. If anything offensively, he just needs to learn how to be efficient in the first 3q of the game. Defensively He’s also guarding 1-5.

  8. I watched JJ Reddicks podcast with Anfernee Simons and touched on the same thing *”why are you like 1/5 in the first half, then in the 2nd half…etc, etc.”*

Simons says all he’s doing in the first half is looking at what the defense is trying to take away and allowing him to do. so by the time the 2nd half comes, he’s seen most of the coverages and begins to pick away at it, so he knows what reads to make and is somewhat on autopilot from it, which makes the game a lot easier to play.

it would not surprise me if this is how Scottie plays the game, since he’s been turning it on in the 2nd half.
