Ain’t even mad, take this game and flush it down the toilet.

  2. apacheco0709

Tuff road loss against a hot non conference team without Zu, bad FT shooting and stinkers from Harden/PG. You hate to lose, but Cleveland is a good squad and you can’t win them all. Not a bad loss at all, onto the next one.

  3. Awkwardphase06

Didn’t play the best, all good. Will blow them out in LA.

  4. buffythebodyy

Game came down to free throws, turnovers, rebounding, and size at the frontcourt. Need zubac badly. We move tho. Next game.

  5. WallStreetLJM

Damn. Coffey missed FT into Coffey reckless closeout with two secs left on the shot clock into wide open Norm miss… that’s tied game right there if that sequence goes our way. 🙁

  6. What a terrible showing after that win in Boston

  7. ShukiNathan

Terrible play aside, us being in the bonus for 8 minutes without a single foul call was top 10 ref highlights in nba history.

  8. Evening-Maybe-4129

Can’t be mad. Parlay hit. We got weaknesses that being our lame ass back up Cs and length. Fuck it we ball.

  9. DetromJoe

Feel like a LOT of stuff went wrong for us this game, and we were still right there up to the closing seconds. This cavs team is good, I’m not gonna lose sleep over this one

  10. miniture-elephanant

Not having Zu was the obvious issue this game JA ate

  11. BicycleChoice

3rd game in 4 nights. Step slower all night. Gave it a run. Still 2-1 on the trip. Get some rest and crush the Wiz.

  12. I know Cavs are top 3 hottest team right now but to give all quarters? come on now.

  13. Tripwire1716

Good loss. Plenty of effort. Cavs are good, and we were hung over from that Celtics win.

Worried about PG. Admire the effort but rest him a week or two. Groin injuries are notoriously tough to shake (see Lebron). I don’t think playing through it is the answer.

  14. Not mad at that loss it was a pretty fun game to watch

  15. Clipgang1629

We played like shit tonight honestly. Lots of bad turnovers. Shot really poorly, but we still stuck around and had a chance in the 4th. Can’t be too mad, the Cavs are a tough matchup especially without Zu Mobley and Allen is a lot of size for us to deal with. Oh well we move

  16. Charliebitme1234

you’re gonna lose games on road trips, any win% over .500 is a win, we all good

  17. Function_Fighter

don’t get why mann starts but doesn’t get minutes.

  18. RIP to 1st in the west by the end of month. 1st in the west by the end of next month I guess.

  19. mccgriffin

Well, that is a frustrating and understandable loss.

  20. Upset_Purchase_5903

    3 games in 4.

We move on to the next one. They better enjoy some rest

  21. stephenj02

If we’re gonna play small ball lineups Russ should be in there every time does his rebounding

  22. PlzNotLonely

Didn’t play well but some size for rebounding would help before the deadline.

  23. ThaEternalLearner

The last 3 losses have all come against teams with size(LAL, MIN, CLE). PG still doesn’t look right and the refs made some bogus calls tonight but the FO should really look to add some size at the deadline. The Clips continue to get killed on the glass. And on offense, they struggle to score against length.

  24. mikey_five

Somehow I just knew the Clips would stink up the game immediately after being ranked the best team in the league 😭

  25. buyanisland

Welp shit happens, rough one but move on, kawhi played incredible

  26. TexasAffectsUs

Old and cold but I thought it was cool they gave themselves a chance to steal it. I don’t expect us to miss that many free throws again.

  27. nepats523

PG is his own worst enemy, just like the whole team when they aren’t locked in. The end of the 2nd and 3rd quarter were atrocious, cost them the game

  28. PG just hasnt been the same since the OKC game, I would give him a few games off to heal the injury if thats whats affecting him. Also Harden really doesnt need to be playing 39 minutes, his minutes have been on a tear for the most part and if hes struggling to shoot the ball it hurts on both ends in terms of his stamina on defense+offense. Give credit to the cavs though Mitchell really is a great player.

  29. Abodyfullofmush

Shouldn’t have gone small… should have played Mann… Russ made bad plays at a key time.. kawhi disappeared.. harden didn’t try threes until really late… we just couldn’t make shots…. Rough game.

    EDITs and Pg sucked

  30. Reasonable_Bed7858

The 3 ball just has not been falling.

  31. InTheMorning_Nightss

Ah, tough loss, but you can’t win em all. Cavs continue to play great basketball, and the Clippers just never really found a rhythm outside of Kawhi playing magnificent basketball. Quick takeaways:

    * Three point shooting continues to be a bit tough on this road trip, but I’m sure we’ll find it sooner or later.
    * PG still clearly not 100%, and that obviously impacts the 3PT%.
    * Harden needs to be more intentional about being a scorer earlier on in the game. His passing is great, but would love to see him drive and shoot more.
    * The only real concern is one that we’ve known all along, which is we need some more size, especially with Zubac out. Plumlee’s decline this year has also hurt quite a bit.
    * Coffey continues to be damn impressive on both ends of the court.
    * The small things weren’t done well tonight. Rebounding, turnovers, and FTs just not on point.

Overall, not an awful loss like some of ya’ll doomers are proclaiming. We lost a close game to a good team on the road. Hopefully we find our stroke in the next one!

  32. zggystardust71

2-1 on the road trip. I’m not going to complain. We ran into a hot team at home. Second chance points ate us up.

  33. nz_nba_fan

    Can’t win ‘em all.

Cavs are a tough team who have been playing very well lately. I love Mobley. They completely out rebounded us, so was a good game to help get us back to boxing out properly. We need games like this to keep us improving. I think you learn just as much from losses, if not more as from wins.
We gave ourselves a chance towards the end, just wasn’t to be.

On to the next. Id like PG to get his groin right over the next couple games.

    Well played Cleveland.

  34. Salty_Watermelon

Kawhi was a beast and we got mostly good contributions from the likes of Norm and Coffey. PG was disappointing and seems to be due a short rest to get his groin injury sorted out. Harden also played below expectations and seemed to have fallen back into bad defensive habits.

At the end of the day, Cleveland is a very good team that matches up well against us. Either Ty got some valuable data to help us better prepare for games against other big teams like Minnesota, or the FO sees this game as further proof that we need another big to help us while Zu remains sidelined.

  35. ohmeohmy78

Any road game is hard to win, especially the 3rd game in 4 nights. They looked a step slow all game, which was exacerbated by the Cavs being such a matchup problem for us without Big Zu.

Despite their sloppy play tonight, I appreciate that they continued to fight hard and try to steal the game in the end. Too much dribble penetration, 3s not falling, several missed FTs in the 4Q and yet… they were still right there.

Anyway, get some rest, learn from their mistakes, and start the next big win streak. Go Clips!

  36. BicycleChoice

McLean so insightful. Spida made the difference tonight and Don was all over that in post game. With better D on him we beat them, just a step slow on D tonight.

  37. koleBorder

Cavs were magic vines tonight. You cut off the lead a bit and it grows back. Nothing we could’ve done but accept our fate. Move on to the DC area.

  38. Jerry990916

TBH I am more worried about pg’s groin than the loss, and harden should get some rest too. Hope we can get everybody fully healthy back during mid February.

  39. Wakandaforever456

CIippers are still the best team in the NBA. I can’t wait for Zubac to return. Zubac would have destroyed Allen.

  40. Salty_Watermelon

A Bucks win over the Nuggets would be nice after this result.

  41. Jerry990916

That kawhi stumble in third quarter almost had my heart stopped…

  42. Honestly, we should’ve lost more clearly given how bad the rebounding and second chance possessions looked.

There are a lot of big teams that are good this year so Clippers need to get a rebounder at the trade deadline.

  43. Swingman23

We shot poorly but gotta give credit to the cavs. They’re a really good team and number 1 defence for a reason, they forced us into a lot of bad shots with their rotations and length.

Tonight was another good example why we need just a bit more length, specifically with defending and rebounding. Having Zu back should help with that but we also need another PF/C who can help inside. Against big teams we get absolutely slaughtered on the boards and feel like guys just stroll into the paint for easy layups all night. Would be a nice weakness to address since most the contenders will be good at those few things

  44. Direct-Worker-4121

We’ll be alright, PG is dealing with the groin injury and we have Washington on Detroit next… we’ll figure this shit out, hopefully the front office realizes we need a defense specialist at the 5 and gets to work!
