How does this sub feel about getting sexton at the deadline? He seems like he could provide a scoring punch off the bench. Only issue is the jazz might expect two firsts for him if he’s on the market.

I’ve decided Malcolm Brogdon is the guy. I think he’s the most seamless fit of the potentially available trade targets that can actually vault this roster into true contending tier. I view him as someone who can provide almost as much as DJM would, but for much less trade value and a smaller contract. He’s under contract next year as well.

Considering Rozier just went for a 1st and we got Melton for a 1st, I think that would be about his price, plus salary matching (Morris + Korkmaz works).

    Maxey, Brogdon, Batum, Harris, Embiid

Melton, Oubre, Cov, Reed (maybe a sprinkle of Pat Bev)

I think that’s as good of a playoff rotation as we will get without going all-in

It’s crazy that Bron is gonna be on the 76ers next season

need daryl to start working miracles or something

Lately I’ve been seeing more and more posts about potentially trading Maxey but as I see it he’s untouchable unless we’re getting a clear upgrade in return (such as Luka/Haliburton/Trae who are all unavailable) at the guard spot, otherwise best to keep him here

  6. GOAT_SAMMY_DALEMBERT

It’s a very dumb thought but how funny would it be if KD forces his way here after destroying PHX’s future assets. He’d get to play the heel with Embiid.

  7. jorgelongo2

I need a 7’2 cameroonian to play tonight for my mental health

This is such an important and difficult trade deadline. I think there are 2 primary needs that are absolutely apparent after watching the team play:

    – Another scorer, preferably one that can stretch the floor/provide spacing.

    – Wing defender that can rebound, scoring abilities would be a bonus for this.

A few caveats on that scorer – again, ideally, they play good defense, but if there’s a scorer that spaces the floor and defends at a mid to high level, they’ll be more expensive than we’re probably willing to do (OG comes to mind). Otherwise, we’re probably looking at the Bojans (pistons bojan) type options that are out there. Jordan Clarkson I would be interested in sniffing around as a microwave scorer off the bench. This team desperately needs a high volume 3 point shooter/scorer. He’d fit that mold. His limitations are known/apparent.

Our forward depth is better than it has been in years but i still think weare lacking an impact defensive player that can at least dog/slow down some of the better wings we’ll see in the playoffs, ESPECIALLY when matching up against Boston. Caruso in theory could help provide some of that defense but I’m not actually sure how he’s faired against some of the bigger SFs in the league.

I have no doubt that several of Morris, House, Korkmaz, Covington, Springer, Melton, and Martin will be moved along with picks.

Can’t wait for the 8th to get here.

I think a major trade happens today. Not necessarily involving us. But there will be one today in the league.

  10. Pretty classless of the media and NBA “fans” particularly Nuggets fans that they are bashing Joel Embiid for being injured. He clearly got hurt in the Indiana game why STILL today they are making such a big deal about him missing the game.

  11. dabigchina

Everyone needs to rest, but I’m selfishly disappointed that I won’t get to see any starters today. First time i’ve been able to get tickets to the Sixers while they were in town. When did Maxey sprain his ankle?

  12. _mousecop_

As currently constructed I have severe doubts about this teams ability to get past the first round. Teams are just going to play Joel like the nets and raptors of the past two years, and the Knicks, Cavs, pacers, and Heat and much than those teams.

  13. evandobrofo

Does anyone have a good understanding of how the bucks’ and celtics’ cap situations are in the coming years? I have a pretty good understanding of where we are, and the size of our players’ contracts, the space opening up at the end of this season… Etc. But how are things looking for bucks and Celtics? I’m imagining with the bucks carrying dame and giannis’ contracts, and with their players getting to be on the older side, that their window is firmly within the next year or two? How about the Celtics?

  14. BarackObamasnow

It’s super annoying that people keep posting garbage from r/nba or youtubers or the media or whatever and spamming it here, not only is it just lame to whine about people trash talking Embiid (he doesn’t care, why should you), it’s cluttering the sub and forcing fans of the team to see all the useless, negative takes

  15. LordLucasSixers

Why can’t this team just surround Embiid with snipers for once? Get rid of bum ass Tobias jfc he sucks!

  16. nichiseyo

Do we think Embiid is playing tonight? Debating if I should buy tickets

  17. Sixers14

Who morey wants in the offseason? If we dont make a huge trade this deadline, he should trade for at least a all nba player in the offseason. He seems confident he will get a star in this offseason

  18. allianceofficer

If Morey doesn’t make a trade he should be fired. Idgaf

  19. 12345sixer

I hate Morey rn and every time this happens he has something up his sleeve

  20. Joel questionable. Maxey out.

Doubt he plays. Bet his knee is gonna swell up during warmups like it did against Denver.

  21. joel being questionable for weeks and maxey being ruled out this early is concerning yet theres barely any fucking communication from this garbage team PR

  22. jappixslackbot

didn’t even realize a west coast trip was starting. these always suck, and i miss most of them, and people are injured on top of it currently so yeah.

  23. the league wants its star players to play yet schedules four b2bs in a month, two with travel. yea go ahead and amplify the injury risks, fuckin clowns

  24. Cloakington

Man one thing I really noticed with the Doc years was lack of buyouts who wanted to come play for us, now Lowry is like the third or fourth guy who has come on record that he’s interested in us because of Nurse (to my knowledge Danny Green, Pat Bev and Morris have all said something similar). I thought that the days of the Bellinellis and Ilyasovas were over but turns out it’s just that Doc was ass lol

  25. autostart17

    Who’s out tonight

Time to suit up. We want that 3 seed.

  26. vicky255

Can we sign Danny Green on a 10 day injury replacement contract. Our 3 point shooting has been bleak.

  27. Can the Hornets release Lowry already, we badly need some reinforcements

  28. evandobrofo

Derrick White is the Celtics best player nobody can tell me otherwise
