This is a team that’s filled with finishers. They need someone who can create advantages for them & Ben was that guy last night
He won’t be able to do it every night, but I at least hope he can be available. (Imo this team still needs to upgrade at PG)
It’s not like we’re suddenly fixed – a great team – and it’s not like we all aren’t concerned about Ben’s health and how long his availability may or may not last…but there’s been so much pessimism and toxicity here, and it’s been just *not fun* watching games for a few months, and so last night’s win was so nice.
It wasn’t *just* a win: something we barely managed, or almost gave away with fuck ups throughout. It was a *fun win* with highlights throughout. I forgot how long it’s been since that’s happened. It’s just nice. A nice thing to go to sleep to, a nice thing to comment about now the next day. We all needed that.
I hate how bought in I am with this team again. Last night was so much fun to watch.
Also pissed that we spent 3 months playing drop coverage when everyone knew if we played switch defense we’d be an elite defensive team.
@ any nets org lurkers—- FIX THE APP PLEASE – it’s the only place I can find all the post games consistently but shit is broken half the time and when it’s not its monetized ie; a 45sec ad for a 2min Royce intvw. this sort of thing impedes building a fan base (esp with our circumstances) and just looks amateurish for a team in a major metropolis in 2024. yall are leaving goodwill and engagement on the table. please and thank you.

I’m thinking Ben’s return might actually prevent Marks from making moves before the trade deadline. Even though it’s one game, I have a feeling theyre gonna see how this lineup runs till the off season when more options will be available.
I’ll keep saying it again like I have been all year: a healthy Ben Simmons needs to be a part of this core moving forward. TECHNICALLY, the starting 5 is set for the future: Ben, Cam, Twins, Clax. This should be the core moving forward. Royce is a fantastic piece and DFS is still fantastic too. Spencer is sadly the odd man out and I hope Marks can find a floor spacing big in return.
I cannot wait for Ben to become healthier and just be comfortable in his body to just get down the court and dunk it no problem. We for sure saw flashes of Philly Ben, but I do hate to an extent, that he’s still the “Point Center”. If he and Clax can find a way to play together, defense is gonna be insane.
So weird that i’m actually looking forward to our next game
