Coaching staff and we all throughout this season we’ve all been hearing about you you know rumbles of guys being happy um rol schemes not being well um um executed and formulated and you know I even even me I reported back in December during the inseason tournament when um

Bobby poris um called out coach Adrien Griffin about the schemes and their lack of execution down the stretch and so this is It’s been there’s been signals all throughout this 4mon tenure of Adrien Griffin as the head coach of the Milwaukee Bucks which led to this point

Now now I will say this I want to kind of clarify because I know people will say well why are they firing Adrian Griffin now because you know they hired him in June and at that point that was before Damen Lillard and they were still a championship contendent team at that

Point before Damen lard but the way it was explained to me was that the Bucks going into the summer they faced the unknown they didn’t know if they were going to be able to resign Chris Middleton they didn’t know if they were going to resign Brook Lopez um Yannis

Anth D kmo they didn’t know if he was to do an extension so they kind of braced themselves to kind of take a step back they didn’t know if they were going to be be able to be this potent going into this season then the trade happens they acquired Damen Lillard and now

Expectations change and that made life a little bit more harder for Adrien Griffin so there’s a lot of things that happen behind the scenes and you can make the argument that he probably wasn’t ready for this type of a situation but again this wasn’t the situation that he originally signed up

For’s one followup for you I’m seeing a lot of reports right now moving on to who the next coach is going to be I believe you’re the only one that’s spoken with Adrien Griffin how’s he holding up right now yeah I I spoke with Adrian Griffin before I touch on that um

The Bucks they are trying to zero in on Doc Rivers who is a color commentator for ESPN as of right now and so that is who they’re trying to get after but also two two other names that I’ve been told that they plan to reach out to Jeff Van

Gundy and Nate McMillan they are going after experienced coaches who have experience in dealing with Star level and Superstar level players so that’s what they’re going on in the hunt as of right now but as far as Agent Griffin I had the opportunity to talk to One him

Over the phone for about 10 minutes this afternoon and and uh we spoke about numerous things but this what he wanted relay and this quote I appreciate the opportunity the Bucks gave me you can’t control everything I feel a good I feel good about the job we did I appreciate

That’s Adrien Griffin right there um you know he told me he was surprised but he he understands this business and um he was grateful and I will say before he took this job he interviewed on 14 different occasions for a head coaching job before he landed this BCS job in

June so unfortunate situation but the Bucs felt like they need to make a move right now um a drastic move right now to save this season because they have Championship aspirations they just felt that the way that they were going they weren’t getting enough convincing wins guys weren’t meshing quickly enough for
