I’d assume if the Pels are really interested in Yak, there could be a trade there as JV can also work just as well as Yak as a practice C for IQ on PnR plays.
Still though the contract Yak is on is phenomenal, especially now that the projected cap is actually lower than expected now, so every dollar matters, especially for tax teams

I doubt they’re interested in yak, would it be an upgrade defensively yes but offensively I’m not so sure. They have Zion and I would assume they want a 5 who can space the floor next to him. Though yak is a great passer for a big man, I’d love to her a case for why they’d be interested though.

I would be surprised if the pelicans are interested in yak. They need a center who can shoot next to Zion. It would be a downgrade to go from Jonas to yak. They probably are going after someone like Wendell Carter

Hmmm that’s interesting. I’m of the opinion that if you trade Yak, you have to get a C back. We can’t do the no-C thing again (especially without OG and Pascal), and we’ve seen Quickley is a lot better with Yak.

jak for JV makes no sense to me feel like it would be more of a multi team trade kinda deal where we keep jak but trade Bruce Brown to some other team who trades pelicans a better centre and we get JV or something
